Thoughts from the peanut gallery on SCDLH La Fuerza

I have a hq box of La Fuerza from June 2018. I've smoke about 7 sticks throughout the year including 1 today. In general I've not been very impressed. The flavors are somewhat flat and not very rich. What are the general consensus on these? Better with time down? What do most La Fuerza fans do with regard to aging? 3 years? What flavors do you typically get out of it? Normally,  El Presidente's description is spot on but I'm not getting the pancake, maple syrup, molasses type flavors...really no sweetness at all. Dud box? Just looking for opinions from more experienced smokers of this marca. I know it is all relative.?

That's disappointing. I've only had good La Fuerza. Creamy molasses smoke. Like dark sugarcane. Maybe a little one note for me, but oh so good.

Yeah, the described flavor profile sounds right up my alley which is why I got them. I'm hoping they develop with some age but as of right now I wouldn't put them in my regular rotation.

My box of TOS 15 Fuerza started well enough but faded quickly.  I’ve had better luck with Punta and Principe going the distance.  That said, I have liked them on the near term and 2018 is certainly that.  Might just be a bum box.

Had one the other night that was just awesome. Sweet molasses and cream. I had a section in the middle where there was strong white pepper that made me take notice on the retrohale but it subsided quickly. Last third fell a little flat but it was good overall.  2018 stick.

Never was a fan of them until very recently.  @NSXCIGAR clued me in on 2019 La Fuerza being far and above previous years.  Got a 6er from the last 24:24.  I have 2 left.  Rich, complex, sweet, and great construction.  Huge turnaround.

I've had nothing but good results but all were from late 18 onward. JUN 18 might be a little early for the quality pickup I've experienced. I, like others, had never really been impressed with La Fuerza unitl this last 10-12 months. Profile has been very similar to El Principe.

I kind of had a feeling it won't improve but I'm hopeful. That's alright, there are plenty of other marcas that I enjoy so it is not a big deal. I might pick up a quarter box at some point in the future to give it another go if these don't improve.
