Akela3rd Posted November 23, 2019 Posted November 23, 2019 The choice for this was easy - RGPC delivers early and has the legs to go long. This one's got a bit under three years on it but the second half of the box will go for a good few more I'm sure. I've had them at 7 and 8 years and they're beautiful. Velvet wrapper, nicely constructed (occasionally an issue, not today) and a beautiful milk chocolate smell on the foot. The draw is perfect and I'm off, walking to the local record shop to pick up the new Leonard Cohen album 'Thanks for the Dance'. The smoke is smooth and plentiful, chocolate and earth in equal measure. The ash is perfect and quite the whitest I've had in a while. Really enjoyable. Second third and more of the same, it's a lovely combination with levels of sweetness rising and falling on almost every draw. It's been a long time since I've had the comparable Monte 4 and I've got an unopened box waiting, but while these are good that box can wait. And these are invariably good so it might be a long while yet... Into Twickenham and the final third. I slow down the walk because I want to smoke this as far as I can. It's remained perfectly behaved and richly flavoursome thoughout. A slight increase in strength towards the end with a floral thing just starting as I get to the point where I'm almost burning my lips.José M? Dunno, gave up on the soap opera for blokes that is the English Premiership years ago. Bloody good cigar though.9/10 Sent from 47171 Lempo 3 1
99call Posted November 23, 2019 Posted November 23, 2019 Great review. And hats off to you Sir, I also detest football. Millions of people pandering over "genius managers" just because they scraped 1 A-Level, and can string two words together. Listening to them mumble through their tactics, is like someones pouring battery acid in my ears. "Yes.......errrr!?.......he is a player......and errrrrr we have lots of players......., but you know, when he plays......he has to be free......but like a child.....before it is an adult, this is the time to have a young heart, and I have a heart,........but you see....I am not a child!!!! I am the manager, but I am not on the pitch, I can never be on the pitch, but I am in the players hearts, as is the club................." Jesus Christ!! stop dribbling inane shit! someone needs to section these simpletons. Now this is a manager

Now this is a manager I don't detest football per se, but the fake media circus that's been built around it to create interest, drama and money. It's all heroes and villains and who's f'king who and why. I really don't have an interest in any of it. The comparison is not liking London because you believe Eastenders is real. It isn't and neither is the Premiership. Sent from 47171 Lempo

Sounds great. I love Leonard Cohen. Haven't really kept up with his last couple/few albums--aside from the couple tracks from You Want it Darker I've heard, I think Various Positions was the last one I picked up. He's always been one of my favorites though. I had his first 5 folk records on vinyl (I like Death of a Ladies Man alright, but I skipped it on vinyl) until somebody stole New Skin along with around 50 more albums (jerk). It took me a a while to notice they were missing from my collection, so when I tried to retrieve them from the used record store they only had 7 or 8 of them left. Oh well... anyway... I'll have to give the new ones a listen. I wasn't anticipating any more new releases... for the obvious reasons 1
