El Presidente Posted November 19, 2019 Posted November 19, 2019 I loved slot cars FORMULA 1 SLOT CAR RACETRACK Incredibly detailed, this Formula 1 slot car track is a racing fan's dream. It was commissioned by Formula 1 and built out of wood by Detroit-based Slot Mods Raceways before making its way to every Formula 1 Grand Prix during the 2018 season. It's built to a 1:32 scale and designed for two cars to be raced against each other, with built-in electronic lap timing and on-track cameras. In addition to the cars themselves, it features hand-painted spectators and crews, buildings, trees, and signage. It will be auctioned by RM Sotheby's in Abu Dhabi later this month, with proceeds going to benefit the Reaching the Last Mile Fund, a global health campaign to eradicate preventable diseases. 2
Popular Post TheGipper Posted November 19, 2019 Popular Post Posted November 19, 2019 Ah yes, this is the one they toted around to the races last year and had on display in the Paddock Club. You'll note it even has some crossover tracks, so you can add to the realism by running two Ferraris into each other. 5
Ken Gargett Posted November 19, 2019 Posted November 19, 2019 had a scaletrix as a kid. crossover tracks. dad got a friend to set up a big base for it. was not quite as elaborate as that. had a lot of fun. 2
Fuzz Posted November 20, 2019 Posted November 20, 2019 I had a Scaletrix set when I was a little kid, then I started racing AFX (Super G+) in my late teens, finally going up to 1/16 scale (used to race at tracks in Penrith and Budgewoi). Gave it up after my other hobbies started getting in the way... and taking up all my money. Still have this AFX set at home. Hardly used it, as I never had the space to build the full track. Still got all my Super G+ cars, turbo controllers, and spare parts. 1

Fuzz...I just went "full size" and brought a Brock Director with many of his optional extras (but without his infamous "Black Box"). Trevor.

Trevor. What?! How could you not get the black box?!?! That thing will improve your fuel efficiency, reduce road shocks, improve handling, lower carbon emissions, keep the leather supple, ionise the air in your car to improve air quality, and protect the paintwork from stone chips! Did you get the VK or VL Director? Did you get it in blue with the blue leather? My uncle had a HDT VK Commodore SS back in the 80's.
