Before they were discontinued, I used to stock up on 50 cabs of Mag 46s whenever I had the chance and like many mourned the loss when the packaging format was cut. I finally got down to my 50 cab a few months ago. Gorgeous box from '13, dark and oily. The first cigar was a gem, 96+, finest Mag 46 I have ever had. Second one was good, but a little too tight to enjoy properly. third plugged. fourth plugged. fifth plugged. At that point I would hardly do my planned 'Old Faithful' review on the Mag 46 in good faith. ? They will all get reamed out with a perfecdraw eventually, but it kills me to think of how good these would be if they just rolled them properly. Here's to all those tragic boxes, so close yet so far! My rant is over, but commiserate below if you have that one box in your humidor that just breaks your heart.

Punch SS1. 2008

I am saving them for personal defence in a home invasion.

RA 898  2001

Down to 16 and they are the 16 that I clipped over the past decade and couldn't get a draw from.

LGC MO2 2004

Every cigar has been bitter from this box. something happened in the fermentation or the preparation but it is never going to be fixed

They are the three  boxes that cause me the most pain.

I cant remember the exact box code but it is a box of 2017 Ramon Allones Specially Selected. First stick/light was amazing, had a female friend say that's her new favorite and stole it from me mid smoke. Then second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, stick ALL plugged. I havent touched the box since.

I also forgot the box code but one of my 2016 BCG boxes has had quite a few tent stakes that the Perfecdraw salvages, but not to perfect satisfaction.  The silver lining is that the flavor has been consistently awesome.

Those are all legend cigars when they are correct.  That sucks.

2006 Cohiba Piramides EL - simply bad cigars. I've a couple left that I can't bring myself to smoke, though I eventually will.

They didn't break my heart as much as left me scratching my head.

One of my first two boxes ever bought...  2017 BBF from Partagas factory in Havana. All gone, even went through a sick period. Maybe about 50%+ were plugged hard. Even bought the perfecdraw tool for it which didn't do much since it would bore a hole in such a small cross section.

Rarely have a plug issue now- especially since the binder always loosens up with some heat put through it.

I had box of RG PC's, I think from around '01.  Mostly tent pegs on that box.  Can't remember what I did with the box.

In a turn of events. I had a late 90's box of Partagas 898 Unvarnished where the first 3-4 cigars were all plugged.  Hid the box in the cabinet and 10 years later I wanted to make space figured I try on since I was expecting them to be duds.  Next several cigars all smoked perfect!  Smoked most of the box and sold the last handful which I assume were just as good.  Pleasant outcome.

I remember buying a box of Partagás Shorts in Granada Spain back in 2006. Aside for 2 or 3 the rest of the box had absolutely no draw at all. This was before PerfecDraw ever existed. I also remember paying only 75 euro for the box. Great buy if the cigars had a better draw.
