Love Pio Cesare and always have multiple vintages in my cellar but nothing near that old. Must have been a treat.

I just want to ask if you still have your clothes on back in your room the next day after that long lunch and whether the front desk staff have to give back any articles of clothing back to you

I want to know if he got woken up in the morning by some burly firemen, after forgetting to turn off the hot water the night before, trying to steam the creases out of his shirt.

From Heathrow Airport yesterday directly to  John De Costa's place to have a long lunch with Belen Rick and Mark. Brilliant afternoon that finished near 8pm. I may have been a touch shaky checking into The Stafford

But with great company, great food, great cigars and wine such as this....how can you resist!

Thankyo for a perfect Sunday afternoon

Love the Stafford. Stayed there the last time I was in London. Looks like a great trip!

I have matured :spotlight:

It was torrential rain at times in London yesterday. I arrived back at The Stafford and there was an old American gent trying to head out into the downpour.  I said "it is a tad wet" at which he replied "no shit sherlock".

I still gave him my umbrella (it was the Hotels) ..........albeit it I was tempted to give some advice on him and the horse he came in on.

See.....I have grown up :D

Oldest I have from Pio Cesare are '91 mag's of Barbaresco.

terrific producer. we had the guy out a few years back - can't recall the name off top of head. he brought out some old vintages but from memory, only back into the 80s. great stuff.
