prodigy Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 I wanted to see if anyone else will be in Vegas the same time as me. This will be my first trip now that I am into bourbon and cigars. Any advice on what bars/shops/stores I should go to? One friend of mine found some great bourbon, but it was priced at secondary. Thanks for any tips!
Streetz Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 Rhumbar nice place to smoke outside bar at the Mirage. Davidoff Cigar Bar at the Fashion Show Plaza usually has some drink deals to go with a cigar. Casa Fuente at The Forum Shops at Caesar's. Montecristo Cigar Bar at Caesar's. 1
NYMets01 Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 Doubtful you're going to find any bourbon priced below secondary on (or near) the strip. I would stick to Caesar's generally. Casa Fuente is great from a selection standpoint but not the best place to sit and have a smoke. The Montecristo Bar in Caesar's has a reasonable selection, comfortable chairs, big TV's and is a great lounge for drinks.
Corylax18 Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 I'll be there this weekend, we'll miss each other by a week. I'll post an update when I get back. Montecristo Cigar bar is my favorite spot to smoke, by far. The back area does a great job fooling your senses into thinking you're outside and I've always had great luck with the staff. They've got a very large and well stocked humidor as well. Its located in the hallway connecting the front and back casino floors, right across from Cleopatra's barge. I tried Rhumbar for the first time during my last trip in late May, and I was pleasantly surprised. I stayed at the Mirage that trip (also my first time staying there) and enjoyed the entire property a lot more than I was expecting. Don't buy cigars there, the humidor is an after thought and not sealed at all, so plan to bring your own. But, the staff was Top Notch and the drinks where tasty and reasonably priced(for Vegas). The only negative (for some) is that you can only smoke outside. I love the heat and they have misters, but if you don't, go in the afternoon, after the sun has gone behind the hotel. 1
Corylax18 Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 Just finished up a work breakfast at Aria and I'm about to head to the airport. I've got a free minute so I thought I would update. I smoked at both Montecristo Cigar Bar and Rhumbar this time around. You really can't go wrong with either. It just comes down to your preferences. Rhumbar is outside, about 30 yards from the strip, they have nice views of Venetian, Palazzo, Harrahs, Casino Royale, and the Volcano fountain at Mirage. Ask for Monica, or Roxy theyre both great waitresses and people. My only recommendation is go during the afternoon to evening, it was over 100 f both days, remained in the 90s until almost midnight. So you've gotta like the heat. Montecristo is still on point too, air conditioned and inside, its probably more comfortable for most of the day. Ventilation is pretty good too. The humidor has some rare/limited NC Montes and a pretty good selection of others as well, but I always bring my own and that would be my recommendation. Prices have the usual LV bump, so don't expect to find any deals. Have fun and let me know how the trip goes! 1
slowsmoke Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 I’ve heard good things about En Fuego, it’s off strip, I’ve never made it there but always meant to. 1
lovethehaze Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 Vegas is a blast. Enjoy. Chandelier bar at cosmo serves a drink called the Chinese buzz button. It isn’t on the menu ... you have to ask for it. It’s kind of a margarita style drink but they give u a flower to eat and it basically numbs your mouth maybe my favorite drink in Vegas. I always stay at the Wynn. So depending where u r staying my reccs could be too far. There r countless good spots. Planet hollywood is always worth a few games of roulette with the girls dancing on the tables behind the dealers, pretty good entertainment value for no charge if you go to old Vegas pm me I know a spot that only takes reservations via text it’s a secret bar inside of another bar. Really small and old school. They only have mixed drinks and mixologists making them, also a really cool spot for a few hours but it’s in old Vegas so only if you go that way. shows .... comedy live music so many things to do I have been a bunch you can’t go wrong just have fun ! Cheers
prodigy Posted September 17, 2019 Author Posted September 17, 2019 We have a suite at the plaza, so old town is where will be spending the most time. I'm sure we will hit the strip too, so I will be going to casa fuente and the montecristo. The secret bar sounds awesome! I'll PM for those details. Thanks for the many suggestions, I cant wait to get there! Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
