Popular Post JohnS Posted July 20, 2019 Popular Post Posted July 20, 2019 I had a lovely day yesterday...practised some songs for a gig coming up next month (with a small setlist of 12 to 15 songs), snuck in a cigar after lunch and then attended my neighbour's wedding for his daughter in the early afternoon. My neighbour is a minister of a local church around 10 minutes drive away and the wedding was at his church. He also gave the talk...awesome guy! Anyway, it was a beautiful day for a wedding in Sydney yesterday, perfect weather and the wedding went smoothly. Alas, I was even surprised by the box used to collect envelopes on the gift table, check it out below... Yes, it is a Don Cándido Dunhill Selección No.501 cigar box from pre-1982 when these lonsdales were deleted. I wanted to ask my neighbour about the cigar box, but I figured I'll catch up with him next week and discuss the wedding (and the cigar box - specifically any 501's left? Not likely!) My wife even asked me during the wedding ceremony, in the pews, if the cigar I smoked around lunch was 'woody'? "How did you know?" I replied. "Yes, it was a gorgeous Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No.2 and it had a prominent cedar profile". "I can smell it on you!" she retorted, then she preceded to give me a breath mint. Yeah...it was a good day! 10 4
