Cohiba 1966 EL 2011 SUB JUL 11 (VVL)

I remember the time when I had a lot of boxes of that amazing cigar. Had good sales and decided to keep some for myself. used to smoke one in 3 month, then 1 in half year and 1 in a year now, because those going to be finished soon.

we had a long vacation here, so when I find enogh of time to enjoy it, I got it and went to my favorite place in town.

here's my tasting below:

1st third started very powerful despite it's age. I felt light citrus, raisin, fruits and nutmeg. it was a slightly earthy. getting more fruitty in the end of the third.

2st third. almost the same, but it got more nutty.

last third - the cigar is getting more brutal. sad I came by my car because it needed some alcohol as a pair. smoked almost whole cigar with water and added cappuccino during the last third.

this cigar is really amazing and still have great aging potential. getting real hard finding unicorn, so I glad to have a chance to smoke it sometimes.

Well done. I don't but Many Els anymore but the Cohiba and Monte Cristo Els are the ones that have floated my boat from  2010 on. Thanks for the write up.

thank you. Monte Dantes is brilliant as other previous Monte ELs. Co Ro Supremos, Cohiba Sublimes and 1966 are gems. wasn't fan of Piramide EL 2006. Talisman I tried is good, but I'm confused it was still at factories in this year Feb.

The price of the Cohibas put me off with the Sublime. Either I can't afford them, am too cheap, or lots of both, but I have my limits. The only Els I wish I had more of are the MCs. Other than that I'm out of the program. Glad to hear the Dante's EL is coming along.

Talisman is good, but not as much as 1966 for now. Hopefully in future.

Talisman do nothing to me, not even close to the beast of 1966 my fav cigar over all at this point
