Bucky McSwensen
I picked these up from another vendor a while back. I love the Fonseca packaging. The construction is great with a firm pack and a slightly spongy foot. There is a nice draw and a sweet earthy aroma. The wrapper is covered in oil spots and skid marks so the tissue paper gave me a chuckle. First light has a slightly sweet taste and a toasty tobacco aroma. Mellow flavors of a piece of toast with honey butter and cinnamon come through. Second third picks up some light leather flavors. Honey butter drops off and is replaced with vanilla and cream. I start to get the floral aspects after the halfway point. Final third loses the cream and vanilla. Floral notes are kicked into high gear. A slight tea note appears and the cigar finishes with some leather. I really enjoyed the first half of this cigar as it tasted like all my favorite parts of a french toast breakfast but the second half tasted like I was sitting in the scented candle section of bed bath and beyond with someone burning leather nearby. That's a bit of an exaggeration but the transition was a bit much. I'd still really enjoy this stick as a cheap go to that I dont mind dumping early. Good for yard work or a short break. I'm interested to see if some more time down mellows the floral or if it will just kick up more and lose my cherished breakfast cream flavors. Scoring I'd value this cigar at $5.00 Cuba rating = 2.27 Purchase rating = 1.75 (Ratings are based on a ratio of value/cost. 1.00 means I value it the same as it cost. Less means it wasn't worth a purchase. More means it was a deal)

Perla
Nice review. Thank you. I really like the Delicias. IMHO a very underated cigar. Always reliable, never had problems with the draw (like the Cadetes), burn was razor sharp. And I really like floral, herbal kick.

I smoked my first fonseca no 1 this morning. had to chuck it about half way in, was way too tannic, bitter. maybe i didn't let it rest long enough? was a single from a sampler. Bucky McSwensen
Love the no 1. Hopefully your next one has enough time down to enjoy.
nKostyan
I have a box ARG FEB 15 too. The cigar, despite its age, is rough and rustic.
HDGSN
I have a box ELU FEB 13. I have had 3 so far - 2 have been enjoyable and 1 had to be butchered with a PerfecDraw. I use them for dog walks - 45 minutes of consistent cream, tobacco and a slight hint of toasted marshmallow.
Unpossible_1
Nice review! Picked up handful of these just last month. On 3/12/2019 at 3:38 PM, HDGSN said: I have a box ELU FEB 13. I smoked one the other night and marshmallow was definitely what I was getting out of it. Makes me want to smoke another to see if I can have a repeat. inter4alia
I love the No. 1 and always debated whether to give one of the smaller Fonsecas a shot. I guess I should. Thanks for the review.
HumidorJuan
Just found a box of ARG MAR 15 and it was full blown toasted marshmellow right off the bat. I got cedar and cinnimon and seeing you mention a tea aftertaste, yes it had a bit of a bitter thing happening. Made me want a good shot of espresso
