Popular Post Akela3rd Posted September 29, 2018 Popular Post Posted September 29, 2018 I gave one of these to a friend last week to take to a herf and kept one out for myself so the timing is perfect for this review weekend. I'm towards the end of this box and they have been generally very good, reliable and consistent. The cold draw has a sweetness that I always associate with RyJ, the wrapper is smooth and slightly rosado, the construction feels good. Quite a light start with the sweetness there and huge plumes of smoke on this still night by the fire. It's beautifully smooth and very satisfying. Cedar flavours dominate with a bit of spice in the background. There's a real depth developing at the 20 min mark with all the sweet woodiness making this an excellent smoke. I'm having a hard time defining the subtleties with hints of cocoa, white coffee, caramel biscuit and oh, I don't know what else. It's all good though and quite frankly I'm not thinking too much about it. I took the band off and the wrapper came with it but I don't give up that easily and take it as far as I can. Fruity, woody sweetness right to the ugly death. The night I bought these on 24:24 there were BBFs up too and although they are a big forum favourite I don't regret going for the RyJ at all. I don't smoke many larger rg cigars but I'm definitely getting another box of these puppies. Sent from my ActionMan walkie-talkie 12
