Ken Gargett Posted September 8, 2018 Posted September 8, 2018 unless you are from iceland, you are probably wondering. it is a word. yes, from iceland. it apparently means, "key ring of the key chain of the outer door to the storage tool shed of the road workers on the Vaðlaheiði". what language or nation possibly needs a word for that? and how many times has it ever been used? before today. 1
benfica_77 Posted September 8, 2018 Posted September 8, 2018 I thought you had verbal diarrhea Ken. The language is based on a very old version of Danish if i remember correctly. Terrible language to learn but a stunning country and amazing people, highly recommend visiting.

MD Puffer Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 what's the word for that fish that's canned while it's still fermenting? there's a couple of people i'd like to buy some of those cans for as gifts...

That would be surströmming, a Swedish delicacy. If you have a few spare tins, send them my way -- I love that stuff. 1
gweilgi Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 I offer for your consideration two German terms: the GRUNDSTÜCKSVERKEHRSGENEHMIGUNGSZUSTÄNDIGKEITSÜBERTRAGUNGSVERORDNUNG, or "regulation for the transfer of responsibility for approving traffic access to a property"; and the RINDFLEISCHETIKETTIERUNGSÜBERWACHUNGSAUFGABENÜBERTRAGUNGSGESETZ, or "the law for transferring the responsibility for monitoring the labelling of beef", abbreviated by German lawyers to "RkReÜAÜG".
