I have been smoking NC for many years.  The last couple of years I have not been smoking as much.   A friend has gotten me into smoking many more cigars this year.  Also we split a couple boxes of CC which are on their way.  These will be the first CC I have smoked in many years.   I was given a Montecristo #2 and Cohiba (not sure which one its been so long).   I was thinking back to early on when I found some NC that had a very heavy floral aroma when you smoked them.   They were either Partagas or HdM's but I am fairly sure they were HdM's and had a maduro wrapper.   They were Robustos format.  Can anyone recommend some CC that also have that heavy floral aroma.   It is very similar to the same floral smell from the vanilla you get from Mexico.

The first time I experienced this was a box of '15 Rafael Gonzalez Perlas. Instant floral aroma--very intoxicating, in a good way. And they smoke even better! I've been smoking one just about every other day, sometimes daily. This is the first extreme floral scent I've gotten...I believe.

JLPC if you can find them always seem to have a great floral note to me. Wonderful smoke, but tough to find these days.

Sorry I am new to the Cuban brands  what does JLPC stand for.  Edit to add I think JLPC is Juan Lopez Petite Carona however it looks like those might be discontinued.  Also thanks for the recommendations so far.   I also saw in the Cuban Twang thread someone mention RASS having floral aroma.

Punch Petit Coronations! Very floral aroma, great taste, perfect size (petit corona), comes in tubos and an incredible value (price is great!). Was my first ever CC I smoked so I have a soft spot for them but they are a great stick if you're looking for those floral notes. I always have a box of those on hand. Consistently rated 90+ by CA and most recently rated 93 if you look at those things when considering what to try.

Yes Juan Lopez petit coronas. They aren't officially discontinued yet, but I've not seen them since 2014. They offer a great floral aroma and flavor, almost like hibiscus to me. Also with baking spices, and nuttiness.  Fantastic all around.  Pairs well with morning coffee.

I think all Cubans have floral elements, some are more intense than others.

Like I said its been forever and I have only have smoked 2 CC.   I have a box of H Upmann Conn. #1 and Montecristo #2 on the way.  I am excited to try those.  After that I am going to look at the Punch Petite Coronations or the RASS.

I am a huge fan of small cigars when it comes to Cubans .like petite corona etc ..I would try many singles first and decide what flavor profiles you like

That sounds like a good plan.  Just excited to get some cigars in the humidor so I can smoke a few.  I am thinking I might buy one of the samplers also.

Romeo y Julieta.  I've been getting a lot in the Coronitas en Cedros as of late, but have experienced it in other vitolas as well.

Cubans smoke better at 65% humidity imo..so I would throw in some 65 boveda bags in the humidor and get the perfect draw ..then you are good to go

I purchased a bigger Humidor in anticipation of buying more cigars.   It is supposed to hold 150 (I know it won't that many).   It came with two really nice humidification holders with the green floral foam in them ?.  I promptly cracked them open and put in 65% heartfelt beads.  Did I mention the holders are really nice?  They are they have clips that let you get into them easily then re-close very tight.  Also they have mesh over the front which is nice for using beads.

@earthson  Some of my first cigars were NC Romeo y Julieta's so I have fond memories of those.   It will be interesting to see what the CC Romeo y Julieta's are like.   I have always wanted to try some.  I had been looking at them for my next purchase.

Thanks again everyone for all the recommendations.   The FOH community is very awesome.

Of all my cigars, it’s the custom rolls I brought home from Havana in 2016 which evinced the greatest floral notes. My advice? Get thee to Havana pronto! ?

Exhibicion no 4 and the Churchills are tough to beat. PC are excellent also, but are one of the stalwarts that seem to need that classic 5 years of age to be, so that is a major factor as to why I don't stock tons of them. I have been impressed with the Coronitas en Cedros, but generally steer clear of the myriad cheaper RyJ.

The cigars I bought from Alex at the Comodoro, and particularly Reynaldo at the Conde de Villanueva have had that floral aspect.

Thanks! I’ve got some from both of those guys, but only tried them in Havana where they were over-humidified.
