Hey guys how many of you rotate your stash throughout the year? I have a NewAir wineador that gets pretty good circulation so I’ve never really shuffled things up. Wondering if it’s something I should start doing and the pros/cons.

I go through every box once a year and complete an "inventory". I check for mold and move boxes between my two new aires. I have them stacked one on top of the other, bottom is for ageing, eye level is smoke now. I remove every box, check each row for mold then re tetris them per the "aging plan" I have worked out in my head. Nothing hard and fast, just what I can remember from the last few months of smoking. :P

Other than this yearly shuffle, its the same as the above. Regular opening/closing of my "smoke now" humi and very occasional opening and losing of the "ageing" unit. I use a cigar oasis unit, with fan, and a few bags of beads spread throughout to help buffer. I've never noticed any stale/overly moist or dry areas.

That depends on what humidor cabinet they're in.  I've found that the bottom shelf of my "The Redmon" tends to let the boxes on the lower shelf stay too wet (being right over the water reservoir) and if I don't keep that cab rotated i get some mold growth.  Trying to think about how to aleviate that issue lately....    My icebox humidor has far superior circulation and zero issues as does my end table cabinet.

It just took a while to figure out the characteristics of each cabinet.  I'm good now, but I DO have to rotate that one unit.

It certainly doesn't hurt to rotate them. I've got desktop humidors, so by rotating them, I get a reminder of what's been hiding at the bottom!?

I rotate stuff a couple of times a year for either making space or for putting forgotten boxes in clear view.

Only accidentally when I search for something in one of my coolers or humidors and my Tetris skills fail me again...
