Nice review! Your description nearly matches a review I did a while back on a Behike 54 someone gifted me. I know what you mean. Every once in a while, a cigar makes you stop what you’re doing or thinking so you can take it all in. Despite not knowing its exact origins, that 54 remains one of the best cigars I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing.

From here it looks legit and sounds like you enjoyed it just fine. Nice review and happy Thanksgiving!

Lovely review. Compelled to ask: Is your bird posessed? What's up with the light in the cavity in the third pic?

Just the light coming through the other end. Kinda looks a little demented now that you said something haha

I forgot to mention the retrohale. Smoothest retro of any cigar I've smoked. Almost zero burn/irritation and greatly increased the overall flavor profile. Glad I have a few more for these!

Hi all, so i have never smoked a behike. It seems that they live up to hype. But I guess that's really based on personable preferences.
They are obviously very pricey. I just ordered a box of Monte no.2's, as I am told the are "close".
Living in the state's here it's impossible to get one. At least for me it is.
I seems to gravitate towards the "hay or Mulch" type of stick. So I can only assume I'd love a behike.

Do you think it's really worth the cost?

I do have a lot of (2000) other cigars if someone wants to barter the a true behike or even a couple of them. Maybe I have something someone else feels the same .

I honestly think today, no Cohiba is really worth the price. Current production that is.

Now, having said that, it's not a cigar most people smoke on a daily basis, so it doesn't really matter what it costs it's all about the enjoyment you get out of it.

Having smoked many 52s and 56s, I personally think the 52s are better cigars. I tend to like smaller ones so maybe that played a part. But either way they are all exceptional smokes no doubt. The construction, draw, burn, and flavors are all absolutely top notch. (the pictures in the post absolutely looks like the legit stick, the minor details on the band are all present and correct, and the wrapper looks perfect). Other than the 1966, and maybe the 2014s in a few years, I don't think Theres a better cohiba than the behike.

If you can, strongly recommend you trying out a couple if they present themselves. I do think there are a lot more 52s than 56s, at least where I am.

I have heard the 52's are the preferred ones as well. Given I'm in Arizona, how can I go about getting a couple honest 52's? I've checked online, our of the country and seen them no less than $105 a stick. Then there's the tax thing.
Any suggestions from anyone that has actually used the suggested method?

I usually purchase cigars in this price point from my local b&m whenever they are available. Living in Canada it's basically extortion but since you are already paying so much might as well get the peace of mind.

I've also used a n online source many times mostly no issues (not sure if we can post these in discussion)

Sorry to bring back up the ghosts of Thanksgiving past, but I'm trying to educate myself and learn how to decipher the subtle differences in legit vs fake bands (particularly Cohiba and Behike...the most likely culprits). To me, the original photo of the band is missing the black outline around the Taino head!  It seems like the dots just run into the head without there being a distinct border.  Would I be correct with this observation?
