I think the p3 is an excellent choice. Can’t go wrong there. Personally I like the separate component tube stuff over integrated. Only problem is you can spend a small fortune finding the right tubes. Congrats o your P3. I too am very happy to see billy come back

I used to own a pair of Technics 1210 M5Gs (they were amazing) and a Vestax 07 Samurai.  I miss them ?

Technics 1200s are the gold standard for anyone who is into vinyl. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They are practically bulletproof. Kudos to DJs who play exclusively on vinyl. It takes real skill to mix without the assistance of digital beat matching.

They are ideal for home use as well especially if you have delicate collectible pieces of vinyl. There may be more expensive options out there but none I would trust over the 1200. With proper care these will last a lifetime. Surprisingly they can still be found used at a reasonable price if you look around a bit. Plus rumor has it they may be re released due to renewed interest in vinyl. I'll take an old beat up unit over the majority of turntables I see out in stores today. Just clean it up and get someone from your local record store to recommend someone to give your table(s) a tune up and you'll never need to buy one again.

100% they are bulletproof. A very robust design turntable. Have you replaced the stylus lamps in yours? I have seen people swap them over to LEDS (with a bit of work). I'm not very confident doing that though.

Just thought I'd show you guys what the setup looks like now. My girlfriend Carly surprised me with some new furniture after my return from 2 weeks of work. She bought me a cabinet for my turntables and vinyls! She is a real gem.

I also bought myself an Alfred Hitchcock slipmat as I was in need of one for the other turntable.

Now I need to look at some decent speakers. I am currently playing out of the headphone line using computer speakers.... ?

I have not messed with them at all. I'm hesitant for fear of messing things up. I like the old school feel of leaving them stock with the original lights.

The pair Im using in that pic is the clubs. They are the last model 1200s. (M5G) The lamps came stock from factory with LEDs.

Beautiful! I no longer DJ, but would have loved to have a rotary like that!

I’d love to set up a record player sound system In my house. Between my cigar and whiskey habit I cannot afford it ?

Cigars and records....my vices.

Yes haha. For me my turntables have been neglected a bit recently. My car and cigars have taken priority!

Thank you to @Akela3rd for the time, effort and care in packaging and shipping my vinyl after our shopping spree in London 4 weeks ago. Thanks so much! You're the best!

I'm going to enjoy playing these!

Aww shucks, thank you. It was a grand day out.
Here's my copy of Throbbing Gristle's Heathen Earth I got in Sounds of the Universe that day. On my Project Elemental deck/Cambridge amp. Minimalist but very effective set up. 98837c1265b13f3f62a1970d8051389f.jpg
