Anyone know what TAECCLL is?

I'm guessing Nov 99?

The code used to be NIVELACUSO equivalent to 12344567890 CCLL does not make sense to me

That's an odd code. The closest I've ever seen to that would be EAT CCUI or CCUT (Partagas factory, March 1999 or June 1999) or CCNN (Nov 1999)

Are any digits partially worn or obscured? Pics?

All clear, as you see. TAE is Guiro 1 Factory. CC is 99, I think?

The confusing codes.  More commonly see CCLE (Oct 99), but CCLL not quite as common.  It seems there was some mistakes in the transition CODIGUNETA code (9876501234) and the alternative transition code where Oct 99 (LEOO) and Nov 99 (LLOO) would combine to make CCLE and CCLL.  99/10, 99/11.  I would say your box is November 1999.

Yep, I think you've got it.

TAE is indeed Guira 1 and CCLL seems like a combination of CCNN and LLOO, both of which were used for Nov 99, and therefore a natural error to make. 

It's almost certainly Nov 99.

Thank goodness they gave up these goofy codes after 12 months.

i am hoping someone can help me with a discrepancy I think I see in a box I was just offered.

i was offered a box of Trinidad fundadores form 2000, the date code EU00 is for July 1999, according to what I have been able to determine.

assuming the date is correct, the factory code does not make sense. CLE was El Laguita form 2003. in 1999 El Laguita was ENU i think..

anyone have more experience or knowledge please advise

Don’t have any pre-2005 boxes to double check.

One comment about the box above, however, certainly looks like one stick has been replaced - different wrapper color and length.

I was going based on CLE. CLE was el laguita but post 2003.

This seems indeed an odd (rare?) combination. At least I so far haven't seen the CLE-code be used prior to the current system.

Until 1998, during the NIVELACUSO period, El Laguito bore the simple 'EL', as shown by dvickery. Then, during the transition period of NETAGIDOCU in 1999 that changed for a brief period to EUN for El Laguito.

As far as I know and have seen published information, CLE had been in use from 2000 through 2003 for EL, and only in combination with the current mmm-yy coding system, followed by MKO end of 2003.

But perhaps the change happened earlier, and CLE had in fact been used prior to 2000 already, for I have only seen early 1999 boxes coded EUN? Any other 1999 (second half) EL-production boxes out there?

Exactly. This box is dated for post June 1990. When half the factory were adapting new system. If I could find some confirmation whether CLE was used pre 2000 then that would help.
