El Presidente Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Happy with the Bucs picks so far. A couple of big weapons for Winston and a hard hitter. How is your team faring?
Ken Gargett Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 apparently, someone had the sense to lock bruce allen in a deep dark cellar somewhere, because the glorious skins are going gangbusters. every argument that jonathan allan is the steal of the draft, but even better, it was a case of getting exactly what we wanted. a DE projected by most in top five and most of those in top 3, falls to us at 17! perhaps there is a benevolent divinity! the position we were desperate to get someone, anyone. and not only all that, he actually wants to be here. grew up a few minutes from skins HQ! a lifelong fan. mind you, amazing the skins didn't stuff it up. other two picks a good OLB and a potentially exciting CB. we have been screaming for defence for the last few years and finally someone heard us. whoever has the key to that cellar, throw it away! seems the giants have a good TE and a NT we might have liked, but don't think either the iggles or cowgirls have picked up anything sensational yet. but no real duds either, i think. only small issue is that i am disappointed we did not make a move up to grab one of the top RBs. we could really do with that. but we have marshall off injury - jury totally out on him but he is one of the 2 or 3 quickest guys in the NFL so if he can develop, perhaps that is the plan. or more likely, we have no plan.
anacostiakat Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Yes! Pretty happy with the Redskins picks so far.
Rustyman Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Like Ken, I go for the 'Skins and I think they had a pretty decent draft to date. Now they have to get rid of their coach and we may be going somewhere. Throwing a million passes a season might generate good stats but has never been a winning recipe when the playoffs roll along.
SignalJoe Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 I like the Texans finally taking a QB. Watson in poised and doesn't shrink in the spotlight. I worry that he isn't a prototype pocket passer but he has more potential than anything we have had in years (maybe ever). Then they picked up a LB and a RB? Clearly our O line needs help, hopefully they address those needs in the next couple of rounds. 2
Corylax18 Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 The Giants Needs: -O Line (LIKE ALWAYS!!!!) - Tight End (we played a DT and 2 undrafted jokes at this position last year) -Linebacker (Again for about the 10th offseason in a row) -S/CB (Set for Starters, but we need depth) Our Selections; ANOTHER GD Wide Receiver who has shown absolutely ZERO ability or desire to block in college, a DT to replace the prow bowler/All Pro we were too cheap to re sign, and a F*@#KING Quarterback. Did I miss something, What happened to our TWO TIME Super Bowl MVP winning QB? Apparently their is no desire to help him win now, or to even keep him upright. Really, completely unfathomable considering we spent the off season signing shitty cast offs at these same positions, a 34 year old WR on his 5th team (B Marshall) a QB who inspires his team mates so much that one of them broke his jaw in the locker room.(G Smith) I agree with Ken, things are looking up for the Skins.
Capt. Brett Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Doesn't matter who the Browns draft I would be willing to bet that 2 of the following 3 happen this year: 1) The starting QB get hurts ( Our offensive line sucks ) 2) Someone is suspended for a drug or conduct violation ( Amazes me millions of dollars a year isn't enough incentive to stay off drugs and out of the strip club/bars ) 3) We finish in the bottom 25% Thank God for the Cavs and Tribe. 3
Winchester21 Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 My Panthers took Mcafree from Sanford. He will clash egos with Cam Newton, become disillusioned in a couple years , get traded to another team and have a great career . Unless he gets hurt which is highly possible with our crummy O line. We are the official training camp team for the NFL. Anybody who does not kiss up to Cam gets traded and will typically go on to have a stellar career. We will never win a super bowl as long as Cam Newton is our QB . I keep waiting for him to shoot up a strip club or get caught with a bag of weed. Maybe next year we can trade him to Cleveland for a high draft pick?? 1
Winchester21 Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 There is no question that the skins had the best or maybe the second best draft of any of the NFL teams. I think that they will be a contender this year along with the Saints who also had a couple of steals in the later rounds. I can't believe that Curtis Samuel was available for the Panthers. We have a flawed philosophy of drafting the best available player rather than to address the team needs. It simply does not work to draft all these offensive weapons when you have a QB that can't hit a bull in the ass when it comes to passing accuracy. We already have a ton of weapons on the receiving roster and we draft another receiving /rb. Our secondary sucks. One more whack in the head and Luke Kiethly is gone for good and there goes your defense. And we let AJ Klein go in FA this year to NO who should win the division this season. and we make no moves to firm up our D. With the Bucs looking better and better we will keep last place in the NFC south for the second year in a row. We are screwed
rhcolbert Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Atlanta first round amazing. That kid got heart and gonna hurt somebody. That's the kinda people I want in and representing my city.
stinkhead Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Going terribly.... I was at work when my Bears made their first pick and I thought my buddy was playing a joke on me... Silver lining is that we have the number 1 pick locked up for sure next year!
skalls Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Vikings have done well so far. Just hope we can have a decent o line, which was god awful last year
beanaux Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 My Giants snagged my man Evan Engram from my alma mater Ole Miss! Going to be fun to watchSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1

Thanks for the tip Ken. It seems a bit more active than some of the older Redskins forums I have been following.
Easttide Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 We're not worried about the draft as much as winning another championship next year. I'm sure someone will call that cheating at some point. Buckle your chin straps, Brady and Beli aren't settling for record setting. 1

Rustyman Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 I called that result at half-time but that is what you get when you have Matty "Ice" as your QB. A less clutch guy the Pats could not ask for. The mighty 'Skins will rise again but only after we fire Gruden. All credit to the Patriots though. You need to know how to take your opportunities and they did!!!

Best news is since I am a season ticket holder and everyone in Chicago is disgusted right now I was able to upgrade my seats from the goal line to the 45. So when life gives you lemons I guess...
Sean3 Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Well, as a Lion's fan, I'm used to horrific drafts, but since acquiring Bob Quinn from the Patriots...things seem to have changed. Quinn has brought a Patriot style of doing things and at the least, our draft picks are safe...if not spectacular. We picked up a couple LB's, a CB, TE, and even a QB in the 6th round. All the defensive picks were positions of need. I still think we are another year from doing anything noteworthy, but I like the competence of our new GM thus far.
Duxnutz Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Been at work last few days, how'd the Packers go?
anacostiakat Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Ok. Now I am very happy with the Redskins draft.
Blazer Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Probably the best draft by the Browns since they returned to the NFL. Hated their 2nd /3rd round picks, they passed on a lot of good DBs there and their secondary is extremely porous. I expect the Steelers WRs to have a field day twice a year until they shore up that position. I heard one pundit say the Browns got a lot of freakish athletes, but will that translate to wins? The early prediction is 3-13 next year. 1
