Trying to source cedar for the icebox humidor. The spot nearest me has the cedar but they can't mill it. <_< I'm not buying a bandsaw for one job....  Maybe I'll luck out and find a place this afternoon.

Saturday, either hit the GoodGuys car show in Scottsdale or roll down to Gila Bend for "No Fly Zone" at the airstrip there.  Last time I went a little Gallardo hit 238mph in the 1/2 mile. Can be interesting.

Sunday, rest.

I hope.

I used to live about an hour west of Gila Bend. A little "town" called Hyder, AZ. The company I work for built the solar plant just north of Palomas Rd. There are a few out there now. That is some of the most barren terrain on earth.

St. Patty's day celebration in Chicago tomorrow with the parade and dying of the Chicago river (green). Will be up at 8:00am to start drinking, should be quite a day.

You know, that's not necessarily a bad idea. If you pick up a Craigslist used one, 99 times out of 100 you can resell it for what you paid for it. I am thinking of doing the same thing for my humidor.

That's the pretend parade. The REAL one is on the South Side :)

Have a great time in my favourite American city brother!

Since I took Friday off I started my long weekend by doing a smoked beer can chicken with cherry wood.  Took an hour longer than expected bc of the wind and cold.  Friday morning I had oil change and inspection on my car, ran some errands and then did some stuff around the house that I'd been procrastinating on.  True to form I got half of it done.  It was brutally cold out so if I didn't need to be outside I wasn't outside.  Saturday was rib day on the smoker so I've been a lazy pile.  Went into a food coma after I ate.  Sunday I am going to the gun range, do some laundry and then smoke an beef eye of round roast for lunch this coming week.

Working on a basement remodel, and making a mess. I refuse to pay a professional because that would cut into my cigar budget. I mean, you've got to have your priorities straight ...
