Popular Post Ferrero Posted February 22, 2017 Popular Post Posted February 22, 2017 Have included a few variations of our findings so far, in hopes that we can get some discussion going between us all. Post your thoughts below. I managed to locate a better lens since our last update and have spent a little bit of time this morning re-capturing some mold. Hopefully these images are easier viewing for you. Still, keep in mind that the quality won't be as great as what we can see on the screen here. PS. Thanks to all the wonderful people that have helped make this happen by sending in your moldy cigars. We will be shipping out gifts come the end of the month once the last few packages have rolled in. 5
NorCalAaron Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 Wow, the 4th photo is insane! Great photos, and a big thank you to everyone who has contributed.
BuzzArd Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 Nice. Looking forward to some additional images. Any that don't look like typical mold yet?

I thought we had been sent in something that was a bit different to the naked eye but as soon as I got it under the lens it was very much a mold from my understanding. Although, I found that the same mold/matter was impossible to remove on some other areas of the same cigar. Where as, most of the time mold is fairly easy to remove. Potentially a completely different genus...

First Lady Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 I love the 4th one, we think it looks like a dessert with Persian Fairy floss and chocolate shards , something you would see in a Fine Dining Restaurant 1

Definitely didn't look like mold to the naked eye, but maybe it's what @First Lady craves for dessert...?

hellorockview12 Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 Awesome work guys, I am fully tuned in!
seattledude Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 Shipped my contribution. Email sent with tracking info. I hope it helps with your research. =)
Cep Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 I'd like to see a normal pic of the cigar along with the zoomed in pic so that we know what we are looking at.
BuzzArd Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 Was thinking that this am, @Cep. Give a good overview of the stick as a whole, and then add macros so we get an understanding of what we are looking at from two perspectives.

Will update again this afternoon with your requests. 19 hours ago, busdriver said: Are these all the same magnification? All shot on a 65mm macro at 5x magnification. 1
