quick question.....

most of the SLB that I get of different brands all have a thin piece of paper that are surrounding the cigars; I'm assuming this is to help remove them from the SLB.  When you store you cigars in their original SLB do you leave that thin piece of paper in there or do you remove it?  Do you think it matters either way?

thanks.....I know its probably a dumb question.

Try to leave the box (in any presentation) as close to original packaging as possible.  Some like to wrap boxes in wax paper like present for long term storage; popular in Europe.

I'm confused. It's a ribbon, not paper, in my boxes. What am I missing. And don't anyone say a brain !

Cabinets often have a piece of wax paper around bundle of cigars.  You can see this in the picture below that I stole from todays 24:24.

Given that my cigars are stored in the OLH, the paper is left in place but I'm not bothered by it.  I always assumed it was there to both protect the wrappers like Fuzz said and to help you lift them out.
