Ryan Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 There has always been a ban in Cuba regarding busts or statues of Fidel, also a ban on street names. It seems he wanted that ban to continue after his death. There are plenty of murals and images though. It looked like there was a standard picture of him used for the funeral. The one of him standing on a hillside wearing a military radio backpack. It was all over Cuba and on display in the embassy here. I know someone in Cuba who has a bust of Fidel. It was made in 1960 before the ban was enacted. He keeps it hidden as its technically illegal. It's interesting enough I suppose, not many dictators ban statues of themselves or streets named after them.
