Cuba crawls on the back of Lada.  It is the workhorse of the people. The flash 56 Dodge may get the photos .....but the Lada gets them around....most of the time

Since my return I have been looking for a Lada 2105 but much to my disappointment I can't find one. Aussie lads if you can source one in this country, let me know!

I told Armando I would pick one up and prep it like his. No air, 1 hubcap and arrange for someone to steal the stereo.

Anyway, in my searches I came across this on Aussie ebay. It was meant to be. I will present it to Armando as FOH preferred driver ( :o) when we catch up next.

So I am the temporary owner of a Lada 2105.

Look at those lines......Gorgeous :D

Again.....Aussie lads if you come across a life size model, let me know.

Rob, I've been searching for one for you since I got back. Bloody difficult to find a 2105. I can easily get you a Lada Niva, but not a 2105, let alone one from 1986.

I reckon the easiest part of this plan will be to arrange to have the stereo stolen

Rob, I'm your man for the sound system mods. Electrician and cockney. I'll be on it like a fat kid on a cupcake

No man you gotta steal the radio not the cupcakes!

It doesn't look like the Lada Riva (2105) was ever imported into Australia, Your best bet may be to find a private collector (if there is such thing for ladas..) who enjoys cigars ;)

I'll keep an eye out.  But I did find the 2105 is more capable than people give it credit for:

Great vid :D

Armando is a superb driver. No stereo or air really lightens the car up.

This one could use some work... we took it to the airport in Veradero.
