Cheers and thanks...that would make sense. Then again, I do follow the inflated (due to taxes) Aussie prices and US prices, so I'm unfamiliar with fair EURO pricing.

125 CUC in Cuba, as far as I know.

Just for a coarse reference, John, and European B&M pricing - half that price will get me a Punch DC. The similar sized Punch Punch is another 30% less....

They "Officially Released" the SLR regional at the Encunetros de Partagas opening dinner. Beautiful smokes, I will give a report on flavor in 3-6 months. Ill pos ta photo, along with the few I got at the FOH events when I get to my computer. Otherwise Havana was beautiful, every LCDH I went to was STOCKED with Cohiba literally floor to ceiling at a few locations. Only 1 store had boxes of behikes, but singles were available at many. I watched 3 bus loads of chinese tourists arrive at the National when I was leaving wednesday, so that story at the national adds up. Otherwiae no shortages of regular production (that I saw)

I saw it too.

I remember when we were talking about Dip Excelencias Cuba last year and there were some people who were happy to pay that amount because otherwise they couldnt try it. I hope they keep on being happy paying 3 times the release price and thanking for that.

I got back a few days before the Encuetro began and there were still a few boxes of the Dips available in some stores.  A bargain at 86 CUC a box, but IMO not worth the prices I saw people reselling.

Save the money, buy the plane ticket and get 'em yourself...and enjoy Havana in the process.

Interesting - I didn't hear a damn thing about the Punch 48s the entire week+ i was there.  Never saw them either!
I did see Varnished 10 box of Upmann Connie 1 from 2014......Which I'd never heard of before.

And hey good news!  SLR Marquez are now available at a well-known European LCDH for only €250! Thats less than I thought!

True, but still blatant price gauging IMO.

Players really do make the game, so I guess I can just hate both. <_<

You're referring to this same European LCDH, or to Diadema? I'm hoping prices are according to rumours, around 900€ for 2 boxes plus jar... But probably still not worth it, considering the cigar.

What was the price in Cuba?

322 CUC. Box was mis-priced at 402 CUC, as they originally thought it had 25 cigars (16.10 CUC per cigar).

I bought a box of the Diplo Cuba regional in Cuba this weekend.  Tried one of my friend's, and found it rough.

The SLR boxes were for sale at the stores but you had to ask.  They were $117 cuc, iirc

the one I tried at the opening partagas dinner was good, but too similar to a good serie A.

i saw some 2011 jl 1's and 2013 sir winstons at Marina Hemingway. Nothing pre 2010/11. And nothing aged

i bought mostly custom rolls: Reynaldo, Maria, Yolanda, and Alex.  3 la China cigars were given out, along with double banded reg production at the two dinners.

Melia had both the Tropes and the Marquez on the shelves. Saying that they were all destined for foriegn markets just drove up the hype and caused a mad buying spree. Within and hour the Marquez were gone and 5 hours for the Topes.
They were both around, you just had to ask.

They can keep the Topes, as far as Im concerned. I had two in Havana - one was plugged, the other was a boring windtunnel LOL

That doesn't sound well.

Been really looking forward to trying these
