maxcjs0101 Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 Hi guys. Recently i acquired some Connecticut shade (i think) seeds and so i tried growing them for fun. The seeds are unbelievably small an they're almost 3-4 weeks old now. Here are some pictures: 1
CaptainQuintero Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 It's something I've always wanted to do but in reality it's probably something that will be a pipe dream. It might be an interesting thing to grow for a talking point though. Keep us informed on the progress!
Popular Post lipher Posted September 5, 2016 Popular Post Posted September 5, 2016 Nice brother I'm doing the same! started mine in peat pods. After about a 45 days they shot up... here my crops both pot and inground. Everything is growing in homemade compost and cow manure. I also have the PH on the lower side using and organic acidic granules... I'm hoping the heat lingers in the area otherwise I'll harvest and start dry/fermenting. The pots will make their way into my server room to continue growing under lights. I had a late jump so next year I'll start much earlier, and properly space the plants too I have about 7 different varieties growing. 5
Akela3rd Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 Here's a little something from the UK govt. Does this apply elsewhere?A spokesman for HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) said: “Anyone growing tobacco at home to smoke must ensure they pay the duty legally due, otherwise they could face a fine or have the tobacco seized.”
cigcars Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 For all you dedicated amature growers - that's devotion! In looking at my two thumbs - these are not green

Andy04 Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 For those of you with an interest in growing tobacco, the US government gives away seeds free of charge... https://npgsweb.ars-grin.gov/gringlobal/search.aspx Search for Nicotiana tabacum to place your order.
lipher Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 @andy04 thanks. I'll get some more seed... doubt any are "cuban seed"
