FLB03TT Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 So I looked in the humi for a Father's Day smoke and chose a CORO. Have been smoking them for several years and cannot think of any regular production CC which I prefer. Was fortunate to stock up prior to the recent chronic supply shortage, so my opinion is not jaded by the unobtainable fruit syndrome. Recent production- '14, '15, '16 have ALWAYS satisfied. Perfect construction, absolute consistently, always deliver the promise of a premium Cuban cigar. I like a wide variety and don't want a CORO every night, but for a regular production stick I have found nothing to surpass the CORO. Given the regular production criterion, where do others weigh in?
wade1979 Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Pulled one out as my fathers day cigar as well. Just can't beat it when you want mid 90s smoke and don't want to fool around.
jdo2110 Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 If you told me I can only have one cigar from this point on, it would be a Coro. Like you, I love the variety from one day to the next. But Coro are the cigar I fear most ever running out of Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Habana Mike Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 CoRo fan here as well. Not an everyday thing but at least a couple or more a month!
Bolismoker Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Was one of my first CC, still one of my favorites. Very rarely do they disappoint Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
pitbos Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Enjoyed a CORO a few nights ago - still one of my top 5 go to cigars. Wish there were more to be had right now! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
JohnS Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 I agree. Recent production has been outstandingly good and consistent. I am a big fan of the Siglo series, yet I've found the Cohiba Robusto of a slightly better quality lately.
LordAnubis Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 I don't like them. No idea why. I just don't particularly fancy the flavour. It's nice-ish just not something that id buy a box of. Last one i had was in LCDH in Brussels a month or so ago. My favourite marca is Bolivar so maybe that's why cohiba doesn't sit well with me flavourwise. 3
dicko Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 CORO is my favourite too Sent from my SM-N910G using Tapatalk

Although I like Cohiba for a change, and not particularly disliking the CORO, but it's the least preferred of the Cohiba line for me. Not a big Robusto smoker.

Always liked all things Bolivar, especially recent BCG- no question my #1 Churchhill. For me, Cohiba and Bolivar are not strange bedfellows. This may be explained by my love of variety. Never considered Bolivar to be overly strong. I find them rich, medium full bodied and immensely satisfying. BPCs are the strongest, IMO. When I think of a strong CC- a Mag. 46 comes to mind. Your mileage may vary. 2
saintsmokealot Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 It's hard to beat a CoRo with age in my book. 1
joeypots Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 I love the CORO. I am not a huge robusto fan but I can live with it if the cigars are good.
Orion21 Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 I have a love/hate relationship with CoRo. I feel the blend requires almost perfect execution and cigar construction to get right, or the result is a blah cigar. I have had plenty of blah CoRos in the past, but the good ones were ethereal. The only place I would buy CoRo is here from Rob, but all of you "darn" people always snatch them up! One of these days I will be quick enough on the trigger and will stock up.

The rest of y'all are crazy Coro tastes like mowed grass IMLO (In My Learned Opinion ), so I guess in my book they qualify as a yard 'gar. 1

I must try and smoke some mowed grass, because if that tastes like Coro.. Imagine the $$ saved !! I would then have a whole back yard full of Coros 1
LordAnubis Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Just make sure you ferment the grass for 3 years before you roll your cigar 2

puro Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 + 1 here too for the CORO crew I generally stay within the robusto vitola and this for me is numero uno . Amongst others ERDM CS , HDME 2 etc . Unfortunately down to my last one at the moment so am in desperate need of a few more ! Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
QuaiDorkay Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Recent '12, '13, '14 esplendidos from Rob have also been quality examples.
sjmistry Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Cohiba Robustos are amazing cigars, I am definitely a fan. Others may think I am crazy, but I prefer the flavors I get when they have lighter wrappers (closer to claro) as opposed to darker, but I would not turn down any CORO. EVER.
planetary Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Thanks to 24:24 earlier this week, I will have more CoRo in my humidor than any other cigar. And I mean to ignore as many boxes of them as I possibly can for the foreseeable future. 1

I have the very same preference.
