ABR 2011 Sancho Panza Molinos. Magnificent cigar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The one that stands out for me is a Connie A. When I was going to open a new box I picked this box because it was a lighter wrapper and the youngest of the boxes i have. I figured I'd open up this one and let the others with darker wrapper and a little more age continue to rest as I smoke through this box. Much to my surprise that first cigar with the lighter wrapper that I though wasn't going to be as good as the others ones was outstanding. Don't judge a book by its cover or a cigar by its wrapper shade.

That SLR Series A from the Blind Tasting. Maybe it was the mystery of not knowing what it was but that was a damned fine smoke. I got a lot of sweetness in it which is something I love in my cigars. It just kept growing on me.

11 Punch Sabroso

I had to go break into the kids fruit snacks after. I don't know if I was drunk or the nicotine got me but I was getting the head swims.

mag 46. smoked a mag 50 from 08' at the end of march, which got me to smoke a 46 this month. I've now bought 1 50 cab and 2 25 SLBs of them.

Not a whole lot of special stuff. Just good solid regular aged production.

One white whale got caught by this Ahab though and that would have been the Montecristo Salones II.post-21194-0-59104100-1462444120_thumb.j

Best Cuban cigar was this Picadores paired with 20 year old Tawny port at the Lanesborough Hotel in London.

Best Non Cuban, and winner of best cigar in April is the Saints and Sinners exclusive 2013 Pork Tenderloin redux. Just unbelievable how good it was.

DEC13 LFdC Grandioso

Wow! Selectos are not very good, but the Grandioso was stellar. Maybe just slightly underfilled, but truly the best I've had in many months.

I smoked many different NCs throughout the month and only 2 CCs. Easily the best for me was a RyJ Churchill. I don't have the box code as it was given to me by a friend. It was so enjoyable smoking it at dusk on the porch of one of the most historic clubhouses in all of golf. Just a terrific cigar and setting.

Hard to remember but the young Cohiba robusto performed beyond my expectations right out of the box! (Paired with a nice cognac) Honey, hay and grassy notes, orange peel, light spice!

This would have been my answer had the question been "best box smoked in April". Haven't had one yet (through 3 boxes now) that hasn't been superior in every sense. I'm sure I'll hit a less stellar cigar, or even box eventually, but these are one of three cigars I'm stocking in deep.

Just curious what the other two are, if you don't mind sharing...thx

The best cigar you smoked in April?....ok last 30 days.

for myself:

Hoyo De Monterrey Epicure Number 2 from NOV 15

I didn't expect too much. Just one I picked up to check on how they were travelling.

In my mind I can still taste it. Super sweet, creamy, mid bodied, coffee/Amaretto.

If all HDM Epi 2 were like this.... there would be a stampede.

I also had a great HDM epicure #2. I picked them up at the airport in Camaguay Cuba on my return flight. Dated Oct 15. The one I thought was superb had dense velvety smoke, with sweetness and caramel notes, mild sweet spice and a little bit of pepper on the retrohale. The only flavour I didn't get was coffee, which I haven't yet experienced on an epicure 2. That said the constancy of flavor on this box has been all over the place. Most are good, some are exceptional, some are average, and a couple were sub par. All from the same box. I would have liked more consistency on the better end of the flavor spectrum. The construction on all of them seemed good. I would like to see some more recent video reviews of the epicure line as your previous ones are from approx 8 years ago.
