Don't know what cigar company it was from but I got a hold of some Called EL Cedito and when I saw them they were the most ugly cigars I had ever laid eyes on! But to my surprise they were really good! But I enjoyed them most when I smoked them at night with the porch light turned off !rotfl.gif But man they had that Cuban cream I love ! and it was a cigar for locals . I would buy them again no doubt .

In case this isn't a joke: La Casita Criola is a Nicaraguan cigar made by Pete Johnson (Tatuaje, etc.)

Rolled with 100% American grown Connecticut broadleaf, many consider it the only premium USA puro. Pretty boring cigar IMO, but I do like CT broadleaf.

La Casita Criolla: Moron Cigar Factory, Cubarotfl.gifrotfl.gif

still laughing at this........"I believe they're produced for local's" The local Morons? confused.gif

where did you find these cigars? Does your B&M only have reps come by twice a decade?

Very one dimensional cigars being all broadleaf.

I bought a box or two maybe 3 years ago to take down to our store in Mexico to have some additional NC options. I smoked one or two and wasn't displeased.

Whoa! Whoa! I loved my '72 with a bored out 350! Cmon man!

Nova= no va, means doesn't run in Spanish.

It was a comparison to the play on Moron as a play on the town in Cuba, to show these jokes run both ways.

Nothing against the car of course.

There's a few articles out there on the web about La Casita Criollo being an old peso cigar brand in Cuba. Also there's some articles about Pete Johnson using this old brand name for a Tatuaje. A few of Tatuaje cigars are named like this. Two which come to mind are the Cabaiguan Guapos (a very good NC stick IMO) and the Henry Clay Tattoo (joint venture with Altadis). So I'm guessing LowKey is correct in having some of these as Cubans and that Tatuaje used this name like in some of their other blends.

Looks like it is indeed a roller of pesos. I'd never heard about it before I saw that post. This thread appears to be all my research yielded.
