Habano Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Simple. They are weeding out the people that do not belong there or they do not want there.
El Presidente Posted December 4, 2015 Author Posted December 4, 2015 Simple. They are weeding out the people that do not belong there or they do not want there. Harsh .....money doesn't bring class If they were weeding for a better quality attendee, maybe they should start with the women who stuff their handbags at the opening night bufet with breadrolls and pata negra (all wrapped in serviettes). Don't leave out the gentlemen stealing the ashtrays at the main events...just after they stuffed their pockets with cigars being handed out for "everyone". You will find those people on the main tables. Well connected low breeds. My experience is that there is no relationship between those who truley love cigars, love Cuba....... and money. 4
ElPuro Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 I smell capitalism....Its not you about what YOU will pay, it's what the guy next to you will!
Randolph Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 I wonder if this is a sign of how Cuban cigars are going to be priced once the doors open fully to the Oooh S of A??? 1

Cigar Surgeon Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Exchange rate of CDN to USD right now.. $1.00 cdn. gets $.67 CUC. Mucho Oucho ! Minus the 10 CUC "conversion" fee.
SCgarman Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Looks like when the floodgates finally open one day Cuba will once again be a playground for the rich and for the mob. Certainly not for the average working stiff.
luv2fly Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Cuba is on my bucket list. There is a scuba trip in May that I really wanted to go on but unfortunately it is not in the cards for now. Some day I will walk the streets of Havana!
El Presidente Posted December 5, 2015 Author Posted December 5, 2015 Cuba can be enjoyed so cheaply. I haven't been to a Festival final Dinner for 5 years. Have a full heart, a fullish wallet, a Casa particular for $45 a night, go to great paladars which are inexpensive, walk the sights, buy a few beers and mojitos, spent the 15 (?) to get in to Tuerto and listen to some of the best music you will find and drink cheapish beers/rum. Smoke $5 customs. For the love of God "Live" without seeing the inside of a pretentious event/s. it is easy to do and you have missed nothing. 3
ErikB Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 We made our minds up four years ago to skip the closing dinner next time. It was fun, but not worth the money even then..
