First off, I don't like being in large crowds. One year my Ex conned me into going out with her on Black Friday in a small town of maybe 30,000 people. I saw 3 conflicts on that day that I vowed never to go out of Black Friday ever again. Insanity is all I can say. If I go out anymore I go to the small town mom & pop stores where there is hardly anyone out. Have a nice holiday meal and go home. I saw some clips of fights this year and just thank goodness I don't go out in that insanity. What do you guys do?

Some pretty good deals can be had online, in the comfort of your own home. Who even goes to the shops anymore these days? :P

Huh.Here I am trying to pare back my possessions in life. All that over having more stuff. I just gotta shake my head.

*My sister is a devoted, rigorous shopping warrior on Black Friday. She studiously awaits 6:00pm Thanksgiving Day like a mad pitbull on a leash, awaiting the chance to break loose with her fellow devoted shopping fiends to make straight for Walmart, shopping malls, etc. SHE does it... I don't have that kind of energy despite my loving a good sale, myself. SHE'S the one these shopping places live for on Black Fridays... dollarsign.gifdollarsign.gifdollarsign.gif For me - pooped.gif Whew! No

Ditto - everything done from the convenience of my computer...

I took advantage of a few Black Friday sales here in Aus, all from the comfort of my chair. Spent enough to blow my wine budget for the year... and probably next year's budget too.

I went once about 20 years ago and decided never again after some middle aged lady I knew was very wealthy (lived in a small town) tried to punch me and take a package of socks. NOTHING is worth going out with the nutjobs who do that year after year.

The reports from around here though is that this year wasn't as busy due to stores open on thanksgiving day and online sales.
