gangstarrrrr Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 Been thinking about getting some sticky labels for the underside of the box to record basics like purchase date, price, vendor etc. Anyone else doing something similar or is it a bit OCD?
luv2fly Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 Cool idea but too much work for me. I am too lazy according to my OCD wife.
xtcat9k Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 I track all this info using the cigargeeks website and app. 1
Lasabar Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 I use a spreadsheet that I found awhile ago to be as OCD as possible Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
Lotusguy Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 I don't even write down what new boxes I get anymore. Makes for fantastic surprises when you dig through your stash a few years down the road, especially when your stash exceeds a few thousand sticks
BBS Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 I write the date on the bottom of boxes, when they go into the cabinet. If someone sends me singles, I'll band them with who sent them to me so I can say 'thank you' when I smoke it. That's about as organized as I get..... 1
stogieluver Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 I keep up with my stash using the inventory tracking section of the Cuban Cigar Website. Great way to keep track of everything you mentioned except vendor, and even that can be tracked in the "notes" section of each box or stick you enter. Best thing since sliced bread. A big thank you to Alex and Trevor for coming up with that. Check it out. 1
jerryr Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 I use an App called My Humidor, let's me tack age, when and where purchased etc as well as having a notes section. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

Blace Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 I maintain a very OCD spreadsheet of my inventory. I prefer to know exactly what's in my fridges, what the age is on my sticks and where they're stored rather than get "surprises"...
2013GTI Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 I've been using Cuban Cigar Website for a while now but never knew about the inventory tracker. Awesome stuff!
Scrubber Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Never knew about the inventory tracker on CCW. Just signed up now and will start using it. Great feature. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
dvickery Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 All I need is already on the box . Derrek
rtrimbath Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 I use the Cigar Geeks app on my phone, and I use the Cuban Cigar Website as well.
smokinjaycutler Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Cuban cigar website as others mentioned. Plus I pencil in the date received on the bottom of the box.
SMQQKIN Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 I write PE, HQ or PSP on Rob's colored dot if applicable & then enter each box when received into an excel spreadsheet. It lists marca, vitola, size, RG, price, quantity, factory code, vendor & box date. It takes about 5 minutes to enter the info when the box is received. I do a stock audit once a year & update the quantities. It takes a little discipline but is not difficult. It is very useful in keeping track of $ spent & what favorites should be replentished. If you want my spreadsheet pm me with your email address & I will email it to you. It's nothing crazy but is simple to use.
Fumadoro Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 I use an Excel spreadsheet which covers marca, common name, vitola, factory code, box date, vendor/trade partner, and a vague score.
busdriver Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 I record everything in a spreadsheet except price......that is the one factor i have no interest in tallying! 1
