I don't even write down what new boxes I get anymore. Makes for fantastic surprises when you dig through your stash a few years down the road, especially when your stash exceeds a few thousand sticks :lookaround:

I write the date on the bottom of boxes, when they go into the cabinet. If someone sends me singles, I'll band them with who sent them to me so I can say 'thank you' when I smoke it. That's about as organized as I get.....

I keep up with my stash using the inventory tracking section of the Cuban Cigar Website. Great way to keep track of everything you mentioned except vendor, and even that can be tracked in the "notes" section of each box or stick you enter. Best thing since sliced bread. A big thank you to Alex and Trevor for coming up with that. Check it out.

I fully agree. I do the very same thing. Click on the link in my signature to register with Cuban Cigar Website and get your inventory started. It's a great feature!

I maintain a very OCD spreadsheet of my inventory. I prefer to know exactly what's in my fridges, what the age is on my sticks and where they're stored rather than get "surprises"...

I write PE, HQ or PSP on Rob's colored dot if applicable & then enter each box when received into an excel spreadsheet. It lists marca, vitola, size, RG, price, quantity, factory code, vendor & box date. It takes about 5 minutes to enter the info when the box is received. I do a stock audit once a year & update the quantities. It takes a little discipline but is not difficult. It is very useful in keeping track of $ spent & what favorites should be replentished. If you want my spreadsheet pm me with your email address & I will email it to you. It's nothing crazy but is simple to use.

I use an Excel spreadsheet which covers marca, common name, vitola, factory code, box date, vendor/trade partner, and a vague score.

I record everything in a spreadsheet except price......that is the one factor i have no interest in tallying!
