El Presidente Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 I came across the perfect mastercase of Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchill today. To put it in perspective, a mastercase of R&J Wide Churchill has 23 boxes. This matercase (LUB SEP 14) had 19 PSP and 4 HQ (High end). To put it further in perspective, such a hit rate in any mastercase would be near 1 in 500. What I look for in R&J Wide Churchills is beatiful smooth and oily red wrappers with spot on construction. The red wrappers simply deliver those cherry flavours that great R&J thrive on. This mastercase nailed the brief. Now, not every cigar works with these wrappers. As an example, Cohiba needs oily Colorado wrappers to shine. i would be concerned to see these wrappers on any Cohiba! However I hope that one day that all Habanos cigars attain this level of perfection and consistency. PSP HQ 2
PigFish Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 ... wide Churchill...? God, I hope not! Glad someone is in hog heaven mate. But Mr. Piggy is never gonna' make it with a partner called a 'wide Churchill.' Cheers! -Piggy 3

If they could get an approximae blend into a Corona Gorda and put those red wrappers on them....it would be close to my perfect cigar. 2
JohnS Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Love those 'rosado' shade wrappers on Romeo y Julieta cigars. The anticipated taste of cherry in these is something else!
PigFish Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 ...albeit it is not my preferred size. That is a polite way to put it. -LOL
Scrubber Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Beautiful looking wrappers. Perfect world if all CC were produced to that standard. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
treberty Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Those R&J are beautiful indeed. Was the hit rate of 1/500 higher in the early 2000s?
SCgarman Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 I hope the US market doesn't open up anytime soon. They will start ramping up production and quality will head South. A mastercase like that might become 1 in 5,000.
PapaDisco Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 I keep emailing Di for 10 boxes but get no response. Is this a 24:24 or isn't it?!
cigcars Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Well GEEZ, I hope not...I want my lonsdales!!!

Orion21 Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 I'm glad you found such a great case Rob, but I will stick with the cazzie when smoking RyJ. You just can't be the size and blend
