Maestroso
Hola folks! Anyone knows whether the Serie E No. 2 and Serie D No. 2 generally use the same blend? In other words, is it fair to expect that Serie D No. 2 ('52 torpedo) will use the same tobaccos as the Serie E. No. 2 ('54 robusto) from the same (ULA 14) box code? Many thanks. Rye
I'm guessing you mean "P no.2" instead of D2, but either way, I find them quite different
Smallclub
"P2" of course, the D2 was an EL from 10 years ago… Anyway, I have smoked two of these pretty boxes of five E2, and have found them much better than the P2, and much stronger. I can't see how the two cigars could share a similar blend…
Lant63
The E2 is consistently what a PSD4 is suppose to taste like, but only bigger, and better.
Maestroso
P not D indeed. Apology, I was typing late at night. Thanks mucho for your helpful comments, merci bcp! I was truly amazed at how flavorful and smooth the blend in the 2014 E No. 2 was (ULA). I am only unhappy with the fat robusto format and was wishing for a pyramid. I'll have to stick with E No. 2 to get that taste now.

I got that box at the Istanbul airport DF. Never ever had such taste in any cigar. Any chance you had a similar perception?
Destino30
I started my Partagas life with the D4 and P2, but after having the E2 I haven't gone back to the others. Wonderful flavor and I like the size better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Habana Mike
Love the E2 blend. Make one a little longer and a little thinner like that I'd be in heaven!
mk05
E2 is a very easy cigar, an approachable Partagas. I can't even smoke P2. My eyes start to roll back and I pass out...so strong.

Many people talk about the strength of the P2. I havent had one like that but am kind of looking forward to when i do! I haven't had the E2 but will have to pick up some single for comparison. Destino30
I find the P2 to be more akin to the D4, 5 and 6. The E2, at least to me, is less spicy. I've also found that the E2 wrappers are generally lighter in color. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
nick2021
I really enjoy the E2 as well----a very nice cigar indeed!
subport
Im on the other side. Love D4 and P2 but can't stand E2. Only had two fivers (few left) but never got anything good out of it. On top of everything the size is not for me. Dont even know why I bought them, haha. No, they are not the same blend.
