Popular Post markmurase Posted July 29, 2015 Popular Post Posted July 29, 2015 Tomorrow is my 50th birthday so I started the celebration 1 day early with a special cigar on my deck this afternoon. It was a fantastic winter afternoon in Brisbane - clear blue sky, light wind and about 20 degrees C. Nice to just relax for a few hours with my wife and enjoy a great cigar with one of my favourite drinks - Zacapa XO rum. It's great to be a member of FOH and thanks to all my fellow lovers of the leaf for making it so special. With El Pres having celebrated his 50th a few months ago, I'd like to think '65 was a good year 13

With El Pres having celebrated his 50th a few months ago, I'd like to think '65 was a good year:) I turn 50 in September. I haven't decided what to smoke yet, but you made an excellent choice!

To Guy and our other international FOH, I do look forward to catching up with you sometime - hopefully on a visit to your part of the world. Hellorockview12, if visiting Canada I'll be sure to come in summer! As for the Partagas Gran Reserva, it did not disappoint. I've previously had a fantastic PSP box of Lusitanias (GOP MAY 08): every one was a 92-94 point cigar. The Gran Reserva was slightly better - I gave it 95 points. Similar medium bodied profile of Partagas spices, but with a little more sweetness and more complexity: including a few hints of licorice / aniseed, which I've never had in Partagas before.
