Popular Post El Presidente Posted July 25, 2015 Popular Post Posted July 25, 2015 Saturday afternoon. Had a sensational lunch with Di at the Stokehouse restaurant South Bank overlooking the water. Back now and locked in for some wine tasting trying to select the wines for HAVANATHON event October 31'st. i love the look of the bottle on the right. "El Rey Del Mundo" ...how apt The contraption on top is a Corvin which allows you to pour the wine without removing the cork...allowing me to taste a glass of multiple bottles without exposing the wine to oxidization. Pairing the tasting wit a Punch EL 2013. Things could be tougher 5
Paul3 Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Rob, my friend, surely you're taking overtime pay for such grueling task as this. My hats off to you for 'working' on the weekend.
Jeremy Festa Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 I think I know which vino shop you went to by looking at that selection. Off the Centenary Highway? If so, how rad is the old dude in that store? Lovely guy! Went there the other week. And if you have been there, now Diana will know my secret cellar door source for that specific NZ Sav Blanc. OZCUBAN Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Good stuff Rob We've just had a weekend with mus training for Havanathon We are locked and loaded bring it on ?
TCContender Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 The Corvain is great for sampling expensive wines to make sure the have reached the desired level of maturation before opening the bottle, thus committing to it. Now, we just need to devise one for cigars....
