In April of 2004 at the Mahalia Jackson Theatre in New Orleans I proposed to my beautiful wife at a BB King/ Etta James concert. It was a great night. Today BB has passed on leaving behind some of the greatest music ever written and performed. I am so glad that I got to see both him and Etta live while they were still with us, their music will live on forever!!

Yes we lost a great but he left behind quite the legacy. Seen him a few times live, always a great show. He seems to be such a genuine man. RIP.

One of the greats. I'm a huge fan and admirer of the Blues and what got it all started for me was BB King. RIP

Sad to hear this

Never saw him perform live. But when I first saw him on TV it made me interested in the Blues and I still enjoy listening to the blues.

RIP

I went to Memphis over the New Year and learnt about this legend and the impact he had on blues. Timeless music and inspirational to all..

BB King is a huge influence musically. The man exudes soul and swagger. He will be sorely missed.

"I've got the bluuuuuuues, Babe! I've got the bluuues!

*I gave you a brand new car - you said, "I want a Cadillac!"

*I gave gave you a brand new apartment, you said "It was a shack!"

*I bought you a $20 dinner, you said, "Thanks for the snack!"

* I gave you seven children, and now - you wanna give 'em back!

I've got the bluuues, Babe, I've got the blues!"

He was a huge musical influence to me, and one of the reasons I first picked up the guitar.

R.I.P. to the King. :(

saw him when he played with U2 in sydney. terrific stuff. would have been a lot better if U2 had not turned up and just left it to him.

although they did play part of 'like a hurricane'.

very sad.
