Montecristo 520 Magnificient

Have not had one for at least a year or so...fired one up tonight .. easily the best cigar I have had this year. Balanced with rich coffee, leather, pepper and raisin notes towards the end .Construction was flawless ,robust in strength, if you have them, I urge you to try one. I consider myself a novice at best, so to give it a score well my little Singapura tried to eat my fingers ..97

Good news. I have smoked one every 6 months since they came out and I hav been disappointed . Maybe there starting to hit their stride. I hope so. I think I might light one up today.

Yeah, they are a handful/mouthfull. Not that there's anything wrong with that

I loved them when they first came out, couldn't get enough of them. Then they got flat for me and put them down to rest. Tried one a week or two ago and seemed to have more flavor. Had high hopes on these when they first came out but not 100% sold at the moment. It is a big cigar so probably needs a few more years. Prices have dropped so may have to add a few more.

Yeah, was the one I took in the pass. Saved it up for a rainy Saturday at my local B&M. For whatever reason it just never showed me anything. I went deep in the Grand Edmundos and was hoping for something like I found in those. Oh well, chalk it up to the vagaries of Cubans. Either a flat cigar, or a flat me. I won't give up on them after only one.

I like the GE as well. Toss up between the two for me but I've gone deeper on the 520. Got your address, I'll shoot you another hopefully better than the last.
