El Presidente
I have a mate of a mate who is heading to the Margaret River next week. Is there a place there where one can smoke a cigar or purchase one? Cheers in advance
Miner
Rob I only ever take my own and I smoke in the garden of the rented house. You could probably find a nice secluded spot on the beach for a relaxing smoke but I don't think there is too much cigar friendly stuff in MR. I hope I'm wrong. Its hard enough to find a place to smoke in Perth !! Cheers
dicko
There is a pub called the "Settler's tavern" on the main strip (can't miss it) I have smoked cigars there as there is a decent sized open beer garden. Lot's of local punters smoking cigarettes outside also. There's another pub the Margaret River Hotel they do have outdoor areas but it seems more uptight full of rich wankers doubt cigars would go down well I could be wrong though. I would be more inclined to grab a bottle of wine from somewhere and head to a beach or a park have a picnic.
LordAnubis
Don't know about Margaret River, but he has to go from Perth anyway. The one place I would recommend for buying Cigars in Perth is the Paddington Ale House on Scarborough Beach Rd. Reasonably central. Next door to the actual pub they have their "Fine Wines Shop". They have a reasonable range of cigars for a reasonable retail price. Certainly a better store than the other one that will go unnamed.
Pedro2486
Yeah Margaret river hotel would not be a place for a cigar at all. Settlers would be ok probably. I would grab some takeaway drinks and head either to the coast or the bush and chill out there. I've never tried to buy a cigar in margs and I doubt you would find one anyway. Better to byo or grab one from Subiaco if you have none
rusty
You can buy R&J tubos at the M.R. Hotel bottle shop, as Dicko said the only place you may get away with lighting up would be the settlers tav. head to the coast and have a cigar while the sun is setting, beautiful this time of year Cheers

jat
might be an excuse to visit the Garden in Perth and meet some of the FOH locals before heading down south ? Kind of like the last stop on the highway.
