What an outstanding cigar. I have smoked a few out of my box in the past couple of weeks. Great construction, burn, and the complex rich meaty taste is to die for. Every time I smoke one I am blown away. 94 point cigar all day long IMO.Starting to think this may be the best of the year for me. What are your thoughts on this cigar? post-23382-0-99101000-1426031424_thumb.j

A box of these (same code/date) landed in my humi about two weeks ago. Can't wait to try them now, but will wait a few more weeks. Thanks for the review.

Great change of pace cigar. Kind of a one-trick pony, but if my attention is elsewhere and not on the cigar, it's a winner!

Last third to the nub is the best part. Its as if I'm smoking a sweet Cabernet covered in salty chocolate. Simply amazing

This one trick pony that you describe is a purple unicorn with award winning talents to me. Different strokes for different folks.

Have you tried the Belicosos? I've heard good things about those if you're into RyJ

2014 had bought a box and they were very good. But if I have a choice I'd rather have a Short Churchill.

like these a lot and have stocked up. surprised how good these are considering how bad ryJ were for years as are some friends i have gifted these to

The thing is I wouldn't consider RyJ as one of my top three marcas. Its just this particular stick, and the RyJ wide that I like. My top 3 Boli, RA, Partagas. Will have to sample a Belicosos sometime.

A brother here gifted me one. After just that one, I bought a box. (Same date/code as OP)

Love 'em!

What I particularly like in this cigar is the texture and viscosity of the smoke; it often gives me the impression that the smoke is "heavier" than that from other cigars.

I always think of that old gentleman at the Habanos Festival gala dinner. Everyone got offered a petit, short and wide churchill but he was still smoking the complementary EX no 4 while shouting every new churchill release was crap in his book.

I picked up some POU Jun 2013 RyJ Exhibicion Number 4 which I am very eager to smoke thanks to the high praise on this forum and in this thread!

Im very interested in these considering everyone raves about them and I feel they might fit to my tatses being that old school type of habano that people are mentioning it is.

How would you describe the flavors and strength of this cigar? I have heard cherry flavors and now sweet cab and chocolate. Any other type fruit flavors do you guys get from this one? How is the aroma? Do you think it would make a good summer cigar? Is it any similar to the Cazadores?

I'm ashamed to report that I greedily ran through a box of the same code like a hot knife through BUTTA!pod.gifsneaky.gifspotlight.gif I like them a lot and must restock...

To me the first thing I notice is how dense and thick the smoke is;incredibly heavy and velvety.

Flavour wise, to me they are of the fermented fruit, tarry/sticky sweet (But not abundantly sweet) side of the ryj spectrum, none of that herbal and vegetal nature from the other extreme.

Kind of like a sticky date, overripe plum fruitiness.
