I know a fellow poker player that takes puffs on his "Cohiba" during breaks in our weekly poker game. Yes, he does relight the same cigar during the evening... I need at least one hour if I am going to consider smoking a cigar, but I have enjoyed aged Partagas Chicos and JLP Petit Caz in less than 45 mins. I would also suggest HdM du Maire, PLP (you can toss the last third), RG PE (same as PLP, toss last third), Quintero LE, and Quintero Petit Quintero.

A H.Upmann Half Corona. Deliciously good but surprisingly i got a little light headed from that. And i dont have any left.

Half of a Monte 5

El Rey del Mundo Demi Tasse. Something light, easy and short. You want your wits to be sharp if you are going to be playing poker.

Party Short or PL Montecarlos

These normally take an hour or even more if smoked properly. Id look for something like a Purito or Club to smoke in that time frame. However I think you can get away with smoking the Party Short but you might have to pitch it a little early (Dont even bother with the PLM in a half hour it would be a waste). Also look at the ERDM Demi Tasse, great smoke.

Punch DC, Monte A

:lol3:

As usual, for a given time frame, the longer the thread the longer the cigars…

No kidding. Some of these cigars mentioned...30 minutes! Suck! Suck! Suck! Suck! No time to enjoy....or talk.....or breathe!

Seriously.. All these cigars mentioned can take me and hour to a hour and a half to smoke. If you guys a smoking PC's in 30 mins youre rushing through it and it will burn hot and get harsh. No bueno

Perhaps the point is not to smoke the entire cigar in the time period? I'd much rather smoke a tasty $4 Bolivar Coronas Junior and throw it away at the half way mark when it's time to go in, than smoke a Cohiba mini that is less flavourful (might not be.. I've never tried one, but you get my drift).

Also, what's with everyone judging how fast people smoke? Just because that's how long it takes you to smoke these cigars in your allotted time frame/circumstance doesn't mean that's how others enjoy them.

Personally i'd smoke any of the following, Monte 5, Boli CJ, RG Perla, RASCC, PSD6. If you run out of time, put it down, and get back to it at the end of the game for the last few puffs of it. Try out a few different cigars and ways, and do whichever one you enjoy the most.

Have you had many PSD6? How are they?

Had one whole one and a few puffs of one shared with ChanceSchmer. I really liked it. The first one I had was a straight out spice bomb. Very good, but not quite my flavour profile. The one I had a few puffs of was a perfect PSD4 with that mix of spice and sweetness. Beautiful. Can't remember the price point on them, but when I roll through Dubai next I will be picking up a box.

I don't think anyone is "judging" how long people take to smoke cigars, just tossing in their two cents that perhaps the cigars mentioned might take longer depending on how fast the smoker puffs. That being said, I would agree that almost all the cigars mentioned, especially the party shorts, siglo I's, etc...take me no less than 1 to 1.5 hrs start to finish. Then again, I do smoke rather slowly so like all advice, it's only worth what you pay for it ;).

My current vote and go to 30 minute stick....the Monte Purito. See my review here:

You can contrast that with my review of the Party Short found here:

JlP Petit Cazzy

any cigarillo

...i agree with many here in that even a half corona will take me at least 40-50 mins...but to smoke in 30 mins and actually be near the band in length? I'd likely have to smoke it for another 15 minutes to get near the band to merit slipping it off and calling it a day.

Love this cigar but it takes me about an hour to get through
