MrGTO Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 I am looking for a travel case for carrying cigars locally. I have a pelican case for long trips. Just wanted to see if anybody had any pics of their leather or other types of down the road to the bar or fancy travel cases. I have custom pistol holsters and hunting knife sheaths so this is something i have been toying with buying.
MPS Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 http://www.andregarciacases.com/ My wife got me one of these a few years ago. They are great. 1
MrGTO Posted February 19, 2015 Author Posted February 19, 2015 http://www.andregarciacases.com/ My wife got me one of these a few years ago. They are great. Those are nice cases! Maybe a little too nice for my lifestyle.
JohnS Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 How about a 5 count travel humidor? Wrong size?
Deodato Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 I love using the dunhill case in my profile pic. Only holds two but great leather and very well made.
MrGTO Posted February 19, 2015 Author Posted February 19, 2015 How about a 5 count travel humidor? Wrong size? That's what my pelican case is although it's more like a 10 ct.
MrGTO Posted February 19, 2015 Author Posted February 19, 2015 I love using the dunhill case in my profile pic. Only holds two but great leather and very well made. Mrs bought me this That's what I'm looking for, but a little more "handmade" look with contrast stitching and not polished. Although those would be nice for date night cigar cases with the wife.
Colt45 Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 I've a Diamond Crown 3 finger in tan, which has the stitching exposed around the outer edges. I don't have a pic handy at the moment, but if you google diamond crown 3 finger case, there is a decent pic of one in it's box. I mentioned in a recent discussion on the topic that while I use it from time to time, for me the most practical thing is to use empty cigar tubes - here's a link if you're interested: Link
jkdooley Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 I bought one of these from FOH a few years ago - very nice if you can still find one. http://www.habanos.com/images/app/extras/Hupmann2.jpg
MrGTO Posted February 20, 2015 Author Posted February 20, 2015 I have found a couple leather makers on Etsy. Hopefully I can get one made. I'll post up when or if they can do what im looking for
Fuzz Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 I bought one of these from FOH a few years ago - very nice if you can still find one. http://www.habanos.com/images/app/extras/Hupmann2.jpg I have the Upmann travel humi too. It's really nice (and the cigars inside are fantastic), but kinda restrictive as it only holds 6 robustos. 1
MrGTO Posted March 20, 2015 Author Posted March 20, 2015 Had a guy in North Carolina make a case for me. 1
PapaDisco Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 I've been using the Siglo 3 stick case, not a finger case and so it will hold anything up to a 50 ring. Very well made, contrasting stitching with the cedar lining and all. They used to be a pretty good deal from Cigar Chief in Canada, but since they stopped shipping all the local sources have them over $100. Only problem is pocket size; these will make your suit jacket bulge a bit. If you have a smaller ring gauge that you like to smoke consistently, then there are benefits to going with a slimmer case.
TheMunt Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 All very nice and making me want... melly can I buy a...
