El Presidente Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Shamefully, I haven't tried the Romeo y Julieta Short Churchill (it is a Petit Robusto with a confusing name) in near a year. I will rectify that today while in the warehouse. I would love to hear i there is any love for this cigar (or otherwise) out there. if you do smoke them regularly what has been your experience in terms of flavour and consistency? Will post my review on the topic when I am back later in the day
Carts Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 I like them on the golf course. I don't find them overly complex or flavourful but I like to keep a few around.
Geo17pip Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Rob the short churchill is a robusto. The Petit Churchill is a petit robusto. The Short Churchills I have had were very good. This was back in 2010-2011. They had that cherry fruit flavor with coco coffee notes (Medium). Very good I thought.

I shouldn't type things at 5 in the morning I was meaning the Petit Churchill. 1

ErikB Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 I like them but then I really want to like them as I have fond memories of the 2012 gala dinner where they were introduced . But if I'm really honest I'd smoke a RASCC in stead of the Petit C every single time. Though quite fond of recent Short C's by the way
Oscar300 Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 I'm a fan, kinda waiting for my box to iron out the starting third before I smoke the rest though lol
cabaiguan juan Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 What is the difference between the short Churchill and the wide Churchill?
Geo17pip Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 What is the difference between the short Churchill and the wide Churchill? The ring gage. The SC is 50 and the WC I think is 54? Too fat for me haha
dflan82 Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 The one I had was from a sampler so I do not know the year or box code but I smoked it in early 2014. The flavors were pretty harsh after a decent opening of stone fruit notes. This could have been due to youth, but I would much rather smoke a young BRC or R&J Ex. No 4. Let us know what you think after sampling in the warehouse...maybe these are coming around???

White pepper through the nose for the first 20 minutes.Overall good but it finishes too hot for my taste. Maybe the youth (2014). Prefer a Monte PE. 1
CaptainQuintero Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 I've become lost in the Churchill series and just gone back to the ex4 now its come back to it's full glory. Keeping it simple! 1
