Dara Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 I'm lucky enough to have tried everything but the Boli Lonsdale so that would have to be my choice!
acidmase Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 On my 23rd birthday I was gifted a Bolivar Lonsdale! Jorge (from the forum) and I were at a local brewery smoking cigars and drinking local craft beer. The bolivar blew me away and all I could say, "OMG this is the best smoke I ever had." It had a incredible burn with a sweet creamy chocolate cedar taste and super balanced. So good I was smoking it a little to fast and all I hear from Jorge is "slow down slow down." I would love to track some down, but also probably impossible to find 1
Charley Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Never had the pleasure of trying any of these but if I had to choose I think I would go with the 1966. I've heard good things.
Bill Hayes Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 I was born in 1966 so the Cohiba. Have yet to try it unfortunately.
ptrthgr8 Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Of the sticks on that list, I've only had the 1966 and the LGC. I ended up going with the 1966 because it's a cigar I really enjoy. I don't think it's so good that I'm willing to part with the coin to have a cabinet full of them, but they sure are tasty and of the few boxes I've had so far I've yet to get a stinker. I almost went with the LGC because those are mighty fine, too, but I had to go with the 1966. Cheers, ~ Greg ~
iGrizz Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Whatever is left over after everyone at the party took what the wanted. To me just from reviews they would all be outstanding and a chance to smoke one of them would be a treat for sure.
Jay Hemingway Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 The Cohiba 1966. ..because when offered a free cigar, ALWAYS go for the most expensive one! 2
BonVivant Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 The Cohiba 1966. ..because when offered a free cigar, ALWAYS go for the most expensive one! always works 1
LordAnubis Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 "Lobster and caviar" at a Rob Fox event! Hahahahahaha! Edit that to "tuna sandwiches". Ahahah This!!!! Well last time I got crackers and cream cheese. To his credit though, the time before that Foxy actually cooked a meal. Apparently a Tagine was the most Muslim meal he could think of. It was very nice and his hospitality is always great Ohh and Rob, I like how you're giving away Foxys cigars That's what mates a for I voted Black Prince cos I haven't tried one.
cube Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 I voted for the 1966, although I havent had any of them so I'm only going on the fact Ive seen '1966' on a few posts here and they sound a bit special.
BRAC Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Partagas Corona all the way. Brilliant cigar! Have yet to try a PBP and BL though.
Quint Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Bolivar Longsdale when on and with some age simply an orgasmic experience............to go along with Dominique...opps sorry thinking out loud again
sanity Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 1966 for me. Cohiba has been my go to for special occasions and it just seems right.
TM-US Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Cohiba 1966, but I've never tried a Boli Lonsdale or a Punch Black Prince
Laxman Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Black Prince. Loved the 1966 at first but the last few I had I was not impressed.
LLC Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Still have a few Black Prince's left and I was going to go with that but in the setting you've described I think I need a bigger cigar and I do enjoy the 1966's. So if I could vote from my iPhone that would be my choice.
