I love nice and unique ashtrays as much as the next cigar smoker.

I really like found or homemade ones the best.

Found this on the beach NYE and now it's in use on the terrace.

Agreed with Ken - a number of these, but love them the same. Got a number of Stinky's, some hand-made exotic wood ones from Cuba, a copper spittoon-style ashtray, that giant pewter grid one, Hotel Nacional marble, etc. Probably use my polished copper Stinky and my pewter grid ones the most.

I definitely do like the natural material ones nicely - wood, stone, corral, etc.

Nice find, Rushman, and a nice personal connection to that one too (rather than just buying from a store somewhere).

Thx for sharing.

I've seen some really nice custom marble ashtrays---the detail involved has always fascinated me. I'm glad you created this thread as I think ashtrays are sometimes overlooked.

My favourite was my triangle monte cristo... I snapped it up at a bargain $120 down from the 300 retail... I washed it after every use.. kept it inside on my coffee table.. Eventually my partner and a friend started using it as an every day cigarette ash tray... I should've put my foot down.. Came home one day and found it in peices as my partner had picked it up to shake out the cigarettes.. She did offer to buy me another one.. But I can't convince myself to drop that kind of money somewhere an old tin can suffices again.. What can you do.

Large Stinkys Rock! Love the utility. Empty them every couple of weeks.

I've got a couple of stinkys that live outside

I've had then both for almost 5 years and they're starting to show what a hard life they've had (but the stirrups are still clean and shiny so its no biggie)

They work great for when people come round for a herf

I've also got a Cohiba Maduro knock off that a friend picked up for me in china ($12) that lives inside

But, my fav by far is one a friend of mine made me in Canada.

Shes into ceramics so she had to search high and low for the blank and then hand painted it to match a tattoo I've got. Its great

Currently using either one of these:

Found it in my dad's house, he was using it to place loose items. (change, batteries, paperclips etc, he didn't even know it was a cigar ashtray :P)

This I got from LCDH Federal hotel, Kuala Lumpur in a longest ash contest. Was for 2nd place. Would've won a signed Vegas Robaina humidor if it wasn't for those meddling kids!

Washed after each use, hope these beauts will last me a lifetime. :)

That's the one drawback with some of the specialty Stinky's - they're made from regular metal, not stainless steel (unlike the originals, herf, and polished copper variants, among a few smaller other ones).
