CountingCristos Posted December 1, 2014 Author Posted December 1, 2014 I'm not sure if this the correct place to post this. It's my first cigar forum thread. I found the Padron 1964 to be poorly constructed and not that tasty. I would post pics of the stick doing the splits but not sure how.
mgravito Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 I rarely smoke NC nowadays but when I do I reach for Padrons. I'm sorry you didn't like them. I am very surprised that you encountered construction problems as I've smoked them for years and I can't remember the last problem I've had. 3
Sver Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Too bad :/ I agree with mgravito, i've never had anything but exceptional construction from Padron
OleOle Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 My Padron review less than excited I have to say that is the shortest review I've read in a while. Time to find another smoke that is more to your liking I'd say 1
jerryg05495 Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy it. I too have always found Padrons to be of excellent construction and quality. Hope you enjoy your next cigar better.
Cigar Surgeon Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Sorry to hear you had construction issues. I would consider Padron to be one of the best constructed cigars in the world. 2
jazzboypro Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 I've had quite a few Padron's, never had any construction issues but the 1964 line never did it for me tastewise. I much prefer the 3000 series. 1
leftimatic Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 I've had quite a few Padron's, never had any construction issues but the 1964 line never did it for me tastewise. I much prefer the 3000 series. X2
TypicalSituation Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 I as well enjoy the Padron 64 and their pc size (the name escapes me right now). Just curious, natural or maduro?
jazzboypro Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Not sure the question is adressed to me but i've had both maduros and naturals, i have a slight preference for the maduros but i would have no problems at all with ordering naturals if it was all that's left.
HiPower Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Agree with others regarding construction of Padron product. Go through a fair amount of Corticos and Delicias and have only found one or two to give any trouble. Prefer the maduro wrappers in both. The 64's are quite nice but spendy compared to the regular line IMHO.
TiminBC Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Tried most. The high end seem to pricey. I used to prefer the natural but now my one year 3000 maduros win. Consistency seems to be there hall mark. When the cohiba maduros are on they are better but the price is high. Construction has never been an issue in my experience
mash Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 I as well enjoy the Padron 64 and their pc size (the name escapes me right now). Just curious, natural or maduro? These are the Principes. They're my favourite in the line along with the Exclusivos. 1
kevfi Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 I keep a box of 1926 Maduro # 6 on hand. A consistent cigar every time. Never been disappointed!! This is one of the only NC's that I will touch anymore.
cigcars Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 *I'm very, VERY confident you will find their 45th Family Anniversary Reserve much, much more enjoyable
earthson Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 I've found the 1964 to be extremely underwhelming - especially for the dollar. I've had about ten or so - different vitolas. If money is no object, the 1926 series comes close to a NC super premium, but at those prices, I'll just grab a box of RAG or Party Lusis instead.
