paulF Posted November 10, 2014 Share Posted November 10, 2014 Nicotine is a constrictor of arteries just like caffeine hence why they both put blood pressure up resulting in poor blood circulation and hence poor performance and recovery. Also levels of Carbon monoxide will remain high after/while smoking pushing heart rate higher and hence shortness of breath...
