Seriously, outside of Trini's there is no other task that put's fear in my heart more than trying to find a great box of VR Famoso. Now the VR Famoso is a cracker cigar when it is done well. love the flavour (tastes like a Magnum ice cream) but when poor it tastes like wet newspaper. For those of you that have a stunning box of VR Famoso ....and flavour is what I am concerned about...not looks, let me know what code it is. Is it visually appealing? ....or a plain Jane with great personality (flavour).

They look atrocious, they feel rough and veiny and gross, but they smoke like absolute graham crackers. Glorious raisins and prune and plum. Delicious. Will see if I can find them soon to get the box codes, but like I said, nothing recent.

I've not had a decent Famosos in a while (18 months?), but even the goodies were ugly ducklings. I find it funny that a marca named after a family synonymous for growing quality wrappers generally produce cigars that look like banded polly waffles.

Tried to get another box with the same code and could not. Next box was the most ugly terrible tasting cigars I have ever had. I still have the box with most of the cigars in it and only smoke one on occasion. What ugly rough wrappers. Horrible. Embarrassment to Habanos SA
mikek Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 A friend sent A 5er about three years ago, they like everbody has said looked like hell! I think I threw them in the cooler for about four months,they were fantastic! I'll shoot him an email and see if he still has the box code!
