Hello all, Goble here! I'm not nesseceraly new to cigars, but new to the Forum. In 2010 I decided to quit smoking cigarets and start smoking cigars. Well, I didn't quit cigarets, but I did pick up the cigar bug. I guess I'm really more of a collector than a smoker. I average a couple smokes a month and my favorites are Acid Kubba Kubbas & the Makers Mark 650s. Once I got into the cigars I came to appreciate them, as works of art and worthy of collecting. My collection is now round 500 sticks and counting. So, that's how an ole boy from KY landed on this Forum!

Hi Goble. Welcome. I too started smoking cigars to quit ciggs but my change was permanent. Never went back to ciggs again once I found how nice real, good tobacco can be. (I had a stint with chewing tobacco but I gave that up just recently.) Then once I found Cuban tobacco I hardly smoke anything else now. I'm about 70% CC, 30% NC.

Gotta love a good cigar. Nothing like it.

Everybody has their own little niche but I bet you'd have more enjoyment smoking than collecting. Either way, welcome.

Welcome aboard Mate. Pick yourself up a Hoyo Epicure #2 as a mild but flavorful intro into the foray of CCs. Once you're bitten by the cuban tobacco bug, just as other members related you will soon find yourself drifting far away from those Acids and probably all NCs in general.

Welcome and long ashes in the best of health.
