I think I saw on here recently the discussion of what we all use to cut our cigars. I've found when using my regular Xikar or any guillotine type cutter I always rip the wrapper. I've been searching for a large gauge punch and wanted to share my purchase. It's an AVO Double Blade Twist Cutter Deluxe. Cost - $100 (Probably overpaid but was in need of some retail therapy and this did the job). It has the regular size punch gauge that twists out on one side and then the larger gauge that twists out when the key ring is removed.

I've never even considered using a punch for a large gauge cigar. This is all curious to me.

Very nice cutter! The punch is my preferred cut also.

Cool punch. I use a xicar 9mm punch for a lot of my smokes and find it works very well even on larger ring gauge

You can also punch two holes into large rg cigars and works fine. Just need to know in advance and do not center the first.

I barely use guillotine cutters lately. Love the punch all day and night long ;)

That's pretty cool bro. What are the sizes?

I too use the Xikar 11mm twist punch and it works great much better than a cutter especially with 52 rg cigars. that AVO looks super nice I want one.

I took one of the punches out of the Travel Retail Selection tubes.

....I took a spent 9mm pistol round, cleaned it out, and spent some time first wtih a fine file, then a stone, and sharpened the open end up. Works fantastically......ok.gif
