I enjoy this cigar but something tells me that these can use a few more years to really shine. Any I have ever smoked are from ECA and are early 01. Anyone smoke these recently? On the decline or can use more time??

Welcome to FOH Vinnyvega! I would recommend to introduce yourself to the guys/gals here if you haven't already :) I have sampled a few super coronas but were very mild and muted flavor wise while one other did show a hint of potential. Loved the size of though...

i have smoked 5 or 6 boxes from as far back as '94 ... i would use this cigar to define the term complex (in the cigar world) .

have a few boxes from '02 ... would wait ... 2 years ago (the last box i opened) ... i felt they were getting there but still several years away from being there .

i hope that made sense

Was gifted a '98 from BV and it was a strong cigar with incredible complexity as dvickery said. Have some ECA 01 and 02 but they are not as "rich" as the '98 - still a lot of legs iirc. I think I smoked a handful last year.

Funny, I have a box from '96 (JM) and smoked one last night. They are rich and delicious. But it actually got a tad bitter towards the end. I can't imagine that they need to age any more than they already have.

I hated this cigar, well no, just the fact I smoked my last one quite some while ago and they're gone!

Yeah, mine got a little bitter with a 1/3 left to go.

I do not find these mild at all.
