NJP Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Congrats to Sullivans Cove for the little win in the UK at the world whisky awards. And congrats to the little island. Yet to drink the French oak cast but I've booked a session in for tomorrow. 1
Ken Gargett Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 a number of seriously good spirits coming out of tassie.
sengjc Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Try Overeem. The Nant is also good stuff but a bit on the pricier end of the scale.
fingerburner Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 a number of seriously good spirits coming out of tassie. Hell yes. Bill Lark leading the way, the Godfather of Aussie whisky. Legend,
NJP Posted March 22, 2014 Author Posted March 22, 2014 Grab what you can gents they will be hard to find.
sengjc Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Virtually sold out in Melbourne now. I did manage to get a bottle before this all happened but have yet been unsuccessful in obtaining another.
Ken Gargett Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 i Hell yes. Bill Lark leading the way, the Godfather of Aussie whisky. Legend, spent some time down at lark's about 6 years ago. some really interesting stuff. and really promising rum, but i remember them telling me they simply could not keep up supply. couldn't get enough molasses. some of the tiny batch whiskies were excellent. but very expensive - but as quantity for some of these was literally 200 - 300 bottles, you can see why.
Tan1801 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 I passed at the opportunity to buy a bottle of this and am regretting it a little now .
NJP Posted March 22, 2014 Author Posted March 22, 2014 The winner was batch HHO525. And Melbourne is buying everything and anything they can get, it's an older batch so small boutique shops would be worth the research.
JohnS Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 I was lucky enough to get a bottle of Sullivans Cove in Sydney before they ran out of stock!
